i was on the bus today and this man gets on with his 4-5 y/o grandson, who is being fussy and uncooperative, probably because it's getting late and i assume he is tired from a long day. just guessing based on what time it was. several incredibly grown ass people (assuming aged 35-70) who straight up yell at the kid, talk loudly about how they would 'beat his ass', among other horrible things, all while this poor old man quite literally has his hands full and looks deeply embarrassed at all the horrible shit the people in his immediate vicinity are saying. about a 5 year old. someone literally walked up to the bus driver to stand there and complain!!! like holy shit we are beyond the pale as a society.

I took my little brother (autistic, mostly non verbal) out and he was using his voice keyboard to tell me something, and this little boy (maybe 4 or 5?) heard him and asked me "Is he a robot??" I tried to explain to him that no, he isn't a robot, he just communicates differently, but my darling brother was in the background max volume "I am robot I am robot I am robot I am robot"
