It's been a while so I had to draw these darlings.
SPOILERS
............â youâve been gone for hours!â Woody exclaimed with relief as the group walked towards Bo, giggles and the sheep.
âWell we got busy.â Bo gleamed.
âYeah!â Giggles added hopping between Boâs shoulders,â We found a whole group of toys!â
âNo way!â Duke excitedly added in as Ducky, Bunny and the Carlâs questioned Giggles.
Woody on the other hand had got distracted from the conversation. His eye catching a pair of small legs and the bottom of a dress hiding under Boâs cape quivering. Him looking back up at Bo, they made eye contact , she giving him a smile and wispering âIâll explain more laterâ then turning back to the rest of the gang to join into the conversation.
â Some how we managed to get most of them sold at a yard sale!â Giggles exclaimed,â CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!â
The sheep chimed in with excitement!
âWhattttt!â Ducky added in.
âGo on with your bad selves!â Bunny laughed.
â well most of them got sold. âBo butted back inâ But we still have two who need a good home!â
Bo opened her cape up to reveal a small musical porcelain doll grasping Boâs leg in fear and a little lamb peering out from the other side, âMeet Mary!â

Good evening everybody. You'll never believe what happened to me last week. As you can clearly see, I went to see Toy Story 5 with my family. After getting myself some cheetos popcorn (always wanted to try it btw)f, gummies, and a slushy; I settled in and witnessed one of the finest additions to the Toy Story saga since the third one. Ngl, I had my doubts on whether or not this was going to be a cringe cash grab. But man alive, never have I been so happy to be proven wrong.
I think this movie was justified on making Jessie its main character. She's been a staple of this franchise since the sequel and it's nice that she finally got to have her time in the spotlight. In truth, this movie was one big ass love letter to Jessie as a whole. It celebrated her flaws, her insecurities, and the relationships she has with the greater main cast. In all honesty, the kids on iPads thing has always made me cringe. But everything was firing on all cylinders. It managed to recapture that magic that made the franchise so endearing after so many years.
But the second MVP of this movie definitely goes to Lilypad: the movie's initial antagonist. She has the best arc alongside Jessie. She starts off as an ass; snidely, pompous, assertive, and then some. But after seeing Bonnie in tears, Lilypad can't help but feel remorseful over her actions. It just goes to show that even tech has a heart every now and then. After a quick pep talk from Jessie, Lilypad transforms from a despicable character into one you can't help but root for.
The Buzz army truly had me hooked. This was a great B-plot. The scene where the army was petting the deer, rabbit, and getting in touch with nature was one big homage to Bambi: Disney's fourth Golden Age film. It even featured a Frank Churchill song to signify it. Plus, the Buzz army metamorphizing into drones was pure creative genius and even paid tribute to the iconic scene from Toy Story 1's climax.
My absolute favorite part is when Buzz tries to confess his feelings to Jessie and she just straight up kisses him!! I was like, "oh Hell yeah!" shippers have been praying this would happen for 27 years now and our collective wish finally came true. What makes it even better is that they officially married via Bonnie and Blaze's playtime using Bonnie's mom's wedding ring and it was so freaking cute! Plus, Lilypad crushing on the "ringbearer" a.k.a the Roomba was so humorous to me. It's these little moments that made the movie so endearing.
Oh and let's not forget the very heart of the movie: Jessie's bond with Emily. Her returning to Emily's house after all this time totally surprised me. Back in the sequel, we only got glimpses into Emily's character. Not really enough info to go off of. But here, they really dive into Emily and Jessie's relationship. What made me tear up was Jessie discovering that Emily named her daughter after her favorite toy. If that didn't reaffirm her sense of self-worth, I don't know what will. This was, no doubt, Andrew Stanton and his team of writers' way of saying, "Hey, we hear you and we do care."
All in all, I'd give this movie a near perfect score! If you're an actual Toy Story fan like I am, I highly recommend you check out this movie. You will not be disappointed.
Toy Story Presents: Days of Our Toys
Every morning, as soon as Andy's bedroom door clicked shut...Woody climbed onto the bed and tipped his hat. "All right, everybody! Andy's at school!" Rex immediately gasped. "It's happening again, isn't it?" Bo Peep smiled knowingly. "It always is."
Within seconds, the bedroom transformed into the bustling town of Toy Salem.
Every toy had a role.
Woody was the dependable sheriff who somehow became everyone's best friend, counselor, and accidental matchmaker.
Buzz Lightyear was convinced every week's drama was part of an elaborate mission from Star Command.
Jessie somehow knew everyone's secrets before they did.
Mr. Potato Head insisted he was always rightâeven when he had clearly made everything worse.
One morning...Hamm rolled into the center of the room. "I have an announcement." Everyone gathered around. "I'm changing my name." Slinky blinked. "...Why?" "Because it sounds more dramatic." "Fair enough."
Later...Buzz dramatically burst through the bedroom door. "Woody! The Emperor Zurg has returned!" Woody sighed. "Buzz..." "What?"
"Didn't we defeat him yesterday?" "Yes." "And the day before?" "Correct." "So how is he back?" Buzz thought for a moment. "...Space." Nobody questioned it.
Every few days, someone was declared "missing." Usually it was because Andy had left them under the bed. Rex would panic. "We've lost another one!" Mr. Potato Head folded his arms. "They're gone forever." Just then..."Hey, guys!" Green Army Men helped pull Etch A Sketch out from beneath the bed. Everyone cheered. "It's a miracle!" "No," sighed Bo. "That's just where the dust bunnies live."
Romance in Toy Salem was equally dramatic. Jessie smiled at Buzz. Buzz smiled back. Woody whispered, "I think they're falling in love." Five minutes later...Buzz was helping Bo Peep organize the sheep. Jessie folded her arms. "I knew it!" Woody frowned. "Knew what?" "I don't know yet, but it'll be important."
Every toy had at least one shocking secret.
Rex secretly loved dancing.
Hamm secretly collected marbles.
Mr. Potato Head secretly enjoyed tea parties with Mrs. Potato Headâbut denied it constantly.
"It's classified." Whenever Andy accidentally stepped on someone... The toys gathered solemnly. "Will they make it?" The injured toy groaned dramatically. "I don't know..." Andy picked them up and placed them safely on the bed. Instant recovery. "I've never felt better!" Then there was Sid.
Whenever someone disappeared into Sid's house...Everyone assumed the worst. Days later...The toy would return sporting new parts.
A race car with dinosaur legs.
A doll with helicopter blades.
A robot wearing roller skates.
Woody blinked. "You look...different." "I've changed." Everyone nodded respectfully. No further explanation was necessary. As afternoon approached...The Green Army Men called from the window. "Andy is coming home!" Instantly, the entire town froze. Woody whispered, "Same places, everyone!"
In seconds... Everyone became ordinary toys once more. Andy burst into the room. "Hey, Woody! Hey, Buzz!" He happily picked them up, completely unaware that just moments earlier they'd been navigating betrayals, dramatic reunions, surprise identities, and at least three life-changing revelations.
As soon as Andy left the room again...Woody opened one eye. Mr. Potato Head sighed. "So..." Buzz struck a heroic pose. "I have important news." Woody chuckled. "Let me guess." "Zurg?" "...Zurg." Woody smiled. "Figures. Around here, every day is another day in Toy Salem."
Michael's Character Evolution:
That's a fun evolution of the character because Michael's sweetness wouldn't necessarily disappear as he grows upâit would simply mature. Combined with Percy's personality, adult Michael would become the sort of person who remains optimistic and kind in a world that often encourages cynicism.
Adult Michael Darling
As a teenager and later an adult, Michael is still the most openly affectionate member of the Darling family. While John has become scholarly and Wendy has become poised and responsible, Michael retains a warmth that makes people feel comfortable around him.
He is the first to ask how someone's day went and genuinely listen to the answer.
Despite his gentle nature, he isn't childish. Rather, he's developed a quiet emotional intelligence. He understands when people need encouragement, when they need a laugh, and when they simply need someone to sit beside them.
Like Percy, he still has moments of insecurity. He worries about letting people down and occasionally compares himself to his accomplished siblings. However, years of experience have taught him that his kindness is a strength, not a weakness.
Michael and Wendy
Wendy often finds herself smiling whenever Michael visits.
Even as adults, he still greets her with the same enthusiasm he had as a child.
"Hello, Wendy! I brought those books you wantedâand some tea. You looked tired last week."
Wendy sometimes forgets how observant he is. When she's overwhelmed by responsibilities, Michael gently reminds her that she doesn't have to carry the world alone. Their relationship becomes one of mutual support: Wendy provides guidance, while Michael provides comfort.
Michael and John
John remains more reserved and analytical.
The brothers occasionally tease one another.
"Michael," John sighs, adjusting his glasses, "you cannot solve every problem by offering people biscuits." "Not with that attitude," Michael replies cheerfully.
Despite their differences, John secretly admires Michael's ability to connect with people. Where John sees complicated social situations, Michael simply sees people who need understanding.
When John faces disappointment or self-doubt, Michael is often the one who helps him regain perspective.
Michael and His Parents
As an adult, Michael develops an especially close relationship with Mr. and Mrs. Darling.
His mother appreciates that he still makes time for family dinners and visits.
His father occasionally worries that Michael is "too soft" for the world.
Yet whenever difficulties arise, Michael consistently proves his resilience. One evening, after Michael calmly navigates a difficult family crisis, Mr. Darling quietly remarks: "You know, son... I've spent years thinking you were the most fragile of my children." Michael chuckles. "And now?" His father smiles. "Now I think you're the strongest."
The Darling Family Dynamic
At family gatherings, Michael often becomes the heart of the room.
