Sabyasachi’s Firdaus Collection 2016: Firdaus is the highest garden in paradise, and in Sabyasachi rendition, most of the ingredients in the garden have traveled from as far as Burma, Ghana, and Turkey. Forty-seven artisans and three fine artists worked on the making of a single coat for over 1,600 hours. Wow that must be horrible. I mean, that’d be like if they made a Ghostbusters movie where the only “main” female character was a constant victim who’s macked on by a creep through the entire movie, forced to have sex with someone she doesn’t like, and generally has no agency, while the only supporting female character basically exists in the movie only to be insulted by that same creep who’s macking on the “main” female character, and the only incidental female characters of any note are “bimbo” jokes or victims who are also the subject of menstruation jokes.
