A note for caretaker alters like me: You’re allowed to be sad. You’re allowed to be angry. You’re allowed to have all the “bad” emotions. Because they aren’t actually bad. They’re just part of being a living, feeling being.
If you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take care of your system. They will survive if you take some time to feel what you need to feel. They might not if you hold it until it breaks you.
