A Wild Trainer Appears!

“Charizard use Blast Burn!” Green called out as he stayed in his spot watching as his pokemon, in it’s regular form thanks to the danger he had put himself in while doing work for the S.S.A., finished off the beast that had been causing problems too close to one of the cities. Porygon 2 and Machamp had stayed in their plush form in his bag, heads poking out from the zipper he had left open for them.
It was still hard getting used to the changes that came from entering this world, and Green was still certain he was brought here by one of the legendary pokemon of creation, but with the strange mirror he kept hearing about he was slowly starting to doubt it, especially after it had spoken directly to him the night before his pokemon started being able to move in their plush form and the fact that he was the only Dex holder here. If the Legendary pokemon from Sinnoh had brought him here, wouldn’t they have also at least brought in Dia, Pearl, or Platinum since they had a strong bond with them. Whatever the reason he was there, he’d figure it out hopefully and just go about doing what he could for now.
“Alright Charizard, you did well today as always.” He spoke as he walked up to the orange dragon like pokemon and pet him gently, taking a moment to praise his pokemon before his attention quickly snapped towards the bushes near them. Someone or something was there, trying to hide and watching them. Why he wasn’t sure, but he was about to find out.
“You have five seconds to show yourself before you get fried.”
“Eep-!!”
She hadn’t meant to stare. The rush of euphoria upon seeing the mighty Kanto fire type unleash a power Blast Burn had rooted the Champion to her spot, mind blank of any other thoughts. The only thing Dawn could focus on was the familiar presence of a Pokemon -- a real live Pokemon in Wonderland! Where there were Pokemon, there were trainers; she wasn’t alone anymore!
The trainer was someone unfamiliar to her, but the proud way he carried himself indicated a level of strength she’d recognized in others. It was the same aura held by the previous Champion, Cynthia, and the four members of her Elite League. Perhaps he held a similar position in another region...?
Her legs felt weak, as if ready to topple at a moment’s notice. The reassuring flaps from the Crobat flapping at her left were the only thing keeping Dawn grounded. Breathe -- in, then out. In, then out. Gently she peels back some of the branches, revealing part of her small frame.
“I-I’m sorry,” Dawn stammered, free hand tugging at the hem of her overcoat. “I saw your Charizard and I just- He’s gorgeous. I couldn’t stop watching.”
