sweetidiot-prince:
The Prince & the Spirited Type
When Darra tripped over his words, Tamaki stopped in his step found his eyes widening as he stared at the younger boy. It was like the host prince had been transported to the most magical world. His cheeks flushed as he stared at the smaller boy, and an unrecognizable squeal spilled from his lips.
“Aren’t you just the cutest!” he said, as he found his excitement growing. Tamaki blinked as a serious voice entered his ear–or were they voices? Were Haruhi and Kyoya conspiring against him from the comfort of his mind? He shook away the thoughts and literally whipped his head side-to-side. Straightening his posture, Tamaki coughed into his elbow in a last attempt to clear his mind. “Sorry, uh. Forgive me for that. Let’s carry on.”
As they continued their walk, Tamaki glanced at the various tables scattered throughout the club and heard some of the laughs that echoed from the tables. He sighed contentedly at the sight, knowing that this was exactly what he, and probably others, needed. There was no greater excitement than being able to provide entertainment and bring smiles to other’s faces.
“Huh?” Tamaki glanced at Darra and pressed his lips together into a thin line. Perhaps the word was foreign, so it would make sense for it to be unknown. How could he describe it? “Think of it as a series of questions to help me learn more about you and decide if you’re suitable to join us here. Does that make sense?”
“Many fear the interview, but it’s best to remember that you just be yourself. Otherwise, you could provide a false sense about yourself. And you don’t want anyone thinking that you’re something you’re not!”
Hearing the compliment come from Tamaki, Darra felt his earlier embarrassment melt away and a large smile appeared on his face, “No need for apologies Tamaki! You didn’t say anything mean!”
Darra heard Tamaki’s response, Darra tilted his head and the confusion, “’Be yourself’? People hide who they really are? That’s really sad...but don’t worry! I don’t know how to hide who I really am! No one ever taught me how to do that!” And with his emotions being heightened, Darra’s wings sprouted.
Realizing that they were out, “Oh! Oops, hehe, at least you know now that I have wings!”
