A delayed Halloween drawing of Magdalene and her cat. I have wanted to draw her in a bath tub for a while, but I always struggled with the shape. I think a lot about making nice silhouettes, and that big round thing is difficult to work with. I think the cat solved that problem for me. I am also trying to be aware of the size ratio between black and white. It should never be 50/50 I think.

So here’s a sketch of a woman in an awesome dress.
Learning to create a GIF. This one shows the process of one of my recent illustrations. Yeah her hand turned out different in the end than I planned it from the beginning.
This drawing is inspired by one of Stephan Sinding’s (1846-1922) sculptures.
Art Historian: To modern audiences, this 5000-year-old stone sculpture may appear grotesque, even disturbing, but we must always bear in mind that ancient cultures had very different aesthetic sensibilities; to its contemporaries, this object was likely regarded as beautiful.
Stone-Carver From 3000 BC: I’m gonna make this thing creepy as hell.

So I did a dark one tonight. It really has a different feel than most of my other recent drawings. Still wondering when I’ll gather up some nerve to share some sketches in stead of only all finished drawings.
Here’s an archer I made a couple of months back, but tonight I recolored him.
We don’t know where we get our ideas from. What we do know is that we do not get them from our laptops.

Another girl. I like the finish on this one, but actually I need to start sketching more and not be so focused on the final line.
i have literally no understanding of why computers work. how the fuck are a bunch of ones and zeroes which represent basically an on/off switch, going 2 translate into Video Games. thats like if i just flickered the lights in my bedroom real fast in a specific order and then suddenly i was playing skyrim.
The way you win as a creative person is to learn to love the work and not the applause.
