It's so important that one of the main reasons Odysseus is portrayed as the hero of this movie is the fact that he chooses to end the thirst for conquest sparked by the Trojan war (breaking the Law of Zeus) by abdicating his throne and leaving Telemachus to rule over Itaca and by taking responsability over the lives of his soldiers with Penelope by his side. Not to mention that the way Athena shows herself to him is through the event that cemented in his mind the fact that the horse, his plan, muddied the sacred innocence of humanity that lay beneath the childish conflict of selfish rulers. The godess of wisdom takes the form of a youth slaughtered by the hands of powerful, bloodthirsty colonisers who took advantage of ancient customs and beliefs. Ugh, this is so beautiful.

Does anyone else remember the days when everything was on Netflix? Because as a person who's had Netflix since the year that it's been available in my country, it's truly horrific to see just how bad the selection is nowadays

What I learned this year after all the shit that happened to me:

1. Don't expect anything from men! (or anyone).

2. Your happiness should only come from yourself, not from other people.

3. People will disappoint you. That's life.

4. Closure isn't something other people give you.

5. Protecting your peace isn't selfish!!!

6. You can't force people to choose you, even if they clearly act like you want to.

7. Being alone is better than feeling alone around the wrong people.

8. Everything passes, even when it feels like it won't.

9. Everything happens for a reason.

10. Love yourself the way you kept begging other people to love you!!!!!

What i really hate is when people use the term "phase" because in the way I see things, nothing is EVER a phase but a part of your experience as being human.

And what i hate even more is when people completely dismiss who they were in the past and the things that they liked. All the hyperfixations I've ever had still hold a very special place in my heart and I dont understand how people can just denounce it because they don't necessarily do that anymore

Okay but one thing I really hate is when people say stuff like "Olivia Rodrigo makes basic white girl music about love and breakup"

YEAH THAT MAY BE but who else is writing "love" songs like stupid song that detail how embarrassing and almost pathetic it is to have a "crush" on someone and how it truly makes you feel like you're going insane, or songs like "the cure" and "what's wrong with me" that make the realisation that being infatuated with someone is not going to make you feel better about yourself at the end of the day LIKE SHE'S ANYTHING BUT BASIC
