I am coming to you with a very urgent and time-sensitive appeal. We face a constant and imminent threat of death, injury and disease, even during the so-called “truce”. My home has been bombed and destroyed beyond repair. My family’s home. We have been under occupation all our lives, and none of us have experienced anything like what is happening now. There is now an opportunity to get the entire family out of Gaza to Egypt via the Rafah crossing. We do not know how long this opportunity will last, which makes it imperative that we raise the necessary funds as soon as possible. The longer it takes, the more vulnerable they will be. No one knows how long the bombing of Gaza will continue. It will continue, regardless of the cost in human lives. For my family’s future, your help is essential. I am deeply concerned about my children.
The money you contribute will: Cover the enormous costs of safe passage to Egypt. The vast majority of the money will be used for this purpose.
Provide temporary housing for the family in Egypt while the best way forward is determined for them.
Cover some of their initial living expenses while they are in Egypt. We hope to provide them with at least two months’ worth of money. They need time and space to breathe after being gassed during this genocide.
Once all of this is done, additional funds will be used to help me move past my current situation so that I can provide more support to my family. I have taken on the responsibility of caring for them during this critical and uncertain time and into the future.

My husband's new job is going well! It's still a huge adjustment with him training himself to become a night-owl. I'm not very good at it myself, but I'm trying to be that as well so we can properly spend quality time together like before. It's not something I can always manage, but I'm workin' on it! Matt's doing his best, and I couldn't be more proud of him. <3
Being a night-owl does have it down points though, mainly health-wise. Both of us are very grateful for the position God's blessed him with... However, we are hoping someday He will provide a job with the same sort of hours, but during the daytime instead, so we can better manage our health and maybe prevent another visit to the ER/hospital, like he had to do recently with his pancreatitis. We are also hoping after a bit more adjusting to this new lifestyle, we can get back to doing two or more of our ask blogs... Maybe even regularly, HA!
Long story short: AskLittleCheese and AskZephyrBreeze are NOT dead, just currently on hiatus. We'll be back eventually! Maybe if we're daring enough, we'll do even MORE ask blogs or revive old ones!

I just got back from visiting Matt at the hospital. He's VERY sleepy and keeps dozing off with snores. The nurses and doctors are taking excellent care of him. <3 He's uncomfortable in bed and would prefer to just recuperate at home and take a dang shower. He also hasn't had anything to eat since he was brought in. Just a clear-liquid diet. And bow, is he STARVING! One of his nurses while I was there asked if he'd like some jello and he was very happy to accept. Hopefully they get it to him very soon. His doctor said he should probably be home by Sunday.
Poor Matthew is feeling so miserable there though that he worries he might die soon, which I don't think he will---he's just in a very uncomfortable position right now.

He had to go to the ER tonight and found out he has pancreatitis. He'll be getting treatment at the hospital and staying there for a couple of days, sounds like. Thankfully he doesn't seem worried about healing, but good LORD, was it scary!!!
