and so deception ensued. although this never HAPPENED quite as often as one may think, it still happened. gracing the earth in pools of hot crimson, bodies littering the ground in countless number. a gang. one of ample number && yet no skill, not enough to do what they failed at. terminating the king of the creatures, the lion. the beast. though kootra could not say that this was an EASY task, no. it had not been, && there were WOUNDS to prove it. dry throat met the spit within his mouth, swallowing hard as cerulean hues danced about, attempting to FIND HER. the colt gripped within his palm, the shot ringing through the air. it had hit something, but no sound was projected.
that was when he saw them. a wolf cornered a sheep, bullet tearing into flesh. the man did not have to ask questions to know what had happened. killer king sprung into action, raising the pistol with lightening speed && pulling the trigger. the corpse collapsed to the ground, && jordan stepped forward, into the red dimmed light. blood was smeared upon his cheek, his OWN, shirt ripped to shreds and barely hanging. spitting on the man that had HARMED his stefani, fear swelled within his chest, heart hammering && adrenaline draining his energy.
as he gravitated forwards, opening his mouth to talk to her, brows knitted in worry– until she screamed. tried to get away. covering her mouth. she was scared of him. ❝ stefani– it is alright, shh– ❞ came gentle vocals, stepping forward, low to the ground, a GENTLE beast. ❝ it’s JORDAN. you’re bleeding, doll, let me help you. ❞ it was the most emotion he had allowed her to see yet. a hand reassured her, the gun nowhere to be seen. he had saved her life, && now he needed to get her SAFELY home.
his soft voice provided comfort, it made her feel safe, even though what she saw would tell her otherwise. even so, his movement towards her caused her to flinch, but she didn’t move back. not necessarily because she couldn’t from the pain in her leg ( partially was because of that ), but because when she looked, there was concern laced with fear in his eyes. did she cause that fear? was he afraid she would tell someone what she saw? tell the police their names and location? the cause of his fear was unknown to her, but that concern in his eyes comforted her, reassured her that he cared about her.
a tentative nod, once again trying to get up, but using him as a support this time. while she managed to get stand, a jolt of pain shot up her leg, making her whimper softly from the feeling. she was definitely in no shape to walk home in this condition, but what was she supposed to do? she felt hopeless and scared. scared that if she did one wrong thing he would hurt her, kill her, even. hazel irises find the floor, not daring to look at him in the eyes. in her mind, the sooner they get out of there, the sooner she can stay away from him. but her heart ached. it was pounding in her chest at the thought of staying away from him, screaming at her to just stay with him. screaming at her to just accept it because that doesn’t change him as the person she had fallen in love with.
‘ jordan. ’ her voice was quiet, worn out from her previous scream, ‘ can we... can we get out of here please? ’ eyes glancing up at him, but actively trying not to make eye contact with him. her hand still held onto his arm, and while she wanted to let go and walk away, she knew she needed him for support. she knew if he walked away, she would fall and probably die from the blood loss. which was why she needed to get out of the area and at least treat herself, ‘ and... can we stop by my apartment? i have some bandages... ’
