I did no writing today and I probably won't be able to tomorrow since my lil sister wants me to help her with something, so it's looking like I'll begin working on the study guides on Wednesday. Which should give me about 4 days to get them done. That should be more than enough time, unless something else comes up.
Oh I also updated my website so the Freebie section is better oraganized and has a section directly linking to the study guides.
This is what I mean when I say growing up COGIC and becoming Hoodoo was both a change but also felt like barely any change at all.
Text reads:
"The Sanctified Church, the most African of black American Christian Protestant churches, according to Zora Neale Hurston, has two branches: the Church of God in Christ and the Saints of God. In these churches, several components of the African Religion Complex were retained in the old rituals of sacred music and dancing the remnants of the Ring Shout; baptism by water immersion, preferably outdoors in a lake or river, spirit possession; speaking in tongues; and naturopathic and supernatural healing. There they had a stable institutional base for continued existence. There also, just as the label and title 'midwife' could serve to protect the conjure root woman, the two-head man could modify his persona and find protection as a Sanctified or Spiritualist church official, and many did just that. Certain Negro religious behaviors observed in Sanctified churches in the 1960s urban North had remained relatively unchanged since the early 1800s, St. Clair Drake and Horace Cayton tell us: 'Urban life puts its stamp on this religion, and while the basic features of the old beliefs and rituals persist in Bronzeville they have been modified by contact with the complexities of a large northern city. If your business can only be reached and all info about it only be accessed via Facebook or Instagram, know that it isn’t reachable or accessible AT ALL.
The whole metaverse can no longer be properly viewed without an account and I am definitely not making one just to see your contact info or opening hours.
Get a fucking WEBSITE. It can be just a static landing page with the relevant information. But get off the metaverse!
This is not about politics. If armed settlers threaten U.S. citizens and soldiers help detain them, wouldn't that merit an investigation?
If we believe that every civilian deserves equal protection under the law, then the same standards must apply everywhere, including in Gaza. Accountability should not be based on nationality, politics, or where victims live.

Two years ago, the occupation destroyed our home, turning our dreams, memories, and everything we owned into piles of rubble and ash, as seen in this picture.
Since that day, my family and I have been living in a tattered tent that offers no protection from the bitter cold of winter or the scorching heat of summer. Two years of continuous suffering under this worn-out fabric that neither shelters our bodies nor provides any shelter for our family. Today, I appeal to you with all my pain and suffering, asking for your support and assistance so that we can repair our tent and obtain food and water. I hope you will stand with us and not ignore us, friends.
Please help us through this ordeal and live a dignified life.Your support will make a huge difference in our lives and help us persevere and secure the most basic necessities and warmth for my family. Please don't leave us alone.
My friend Ahmed has been enduring unthinkable conditions. He has gone without clean water and nutritious food for long periods. He has become severely anemic and made dizzy with hunger. He is suffering in the heat in a densely populated refugee camp, afraid of bombings that could come at any time. Ahmed deserves love and support. Please help him!
My friends, I can't bear all this pain anymore. Today I haven't stopped crying because of the severe pain in my stomach, and the dizziness and headaches haven't stopped because of hunger and anemia. The temperature was also very high today, and we couldn't stand it because we're living in a tattered tent. Ple@se stand by us and don't leave us until we can get food and water and repair our tent. Ple@se don't abandon us and h@lp us.
The bombing in Gaza has returned to the ferocity and violence of the early days of the war. The airstrikes are relentless, the massacres continue, leaving countless martyrs and wounded. The situation is catastrophic beyond description, and we, the innocent, are paying the price, suffering injuries ourselves. For those who care, Gaza is bleeding without end.
Even worse, I was injured when our house was bombed while we were inside. I was hit by shrapnel that is still embedded in my body, and I need urgent surgery. I constant pain ever since. My surgery is very expensive, and I don't have enough money for it. Now I can't sleep because of the excruciating pain, and I can't afford the pain medication because it's so expensive.
I need your h@lp to get rid of my pain. Please, I don't want to die. H@lp me raiise the mOney I need for my medication and surgery as quickly as possible so I can travel to a safe country. Please stand by me.
It is such a hopeless feeling to see someone who is a dear friend, who you care so deeply about living with a constant threat on their life and not be able to help.
It has been 3 years of genocide in Gaza, and people like my friend @mohdayesh are still trapped in Gaza with no escape from their treacherous daily life.
Mohammed's wife is pregnant and to this day dealing with the pain of having a bullet lodged in her chest. And Mohammed is bearing the responsibility of trying to keep his family taken care of to the best of his abilities with the limited resources he can get his hands on.
Mohammad and I often spoke of his desires to start a life for himself and his wife outside of the war zone, away from the genocide, where they can finally have a taste of safety and security. There is nothing more that I want than the ability to snap a finger and help him achieve their dreams, but unfortunately that's not within my power. All I can do is plead with you to help.
Mod'd is my friend and someone I've been working with for the past 3 years to ensure that you can trust where your money is going and weed out harmful actors taking advantage of the crisis in Gaza. And he has worked tirelessly to that end. He often doesn't ask for help for himself because he wants to see others thrive, but now he has a wife and a child on the way and he can't sit and watch as they suffer in this genocide.
He is trying to reach a preliminary goal of £3,000 on his gofundme, and has reached £2,046/£3,000 up until the time I'm writing this post.
But you can also help via his paypal!
And please share this post!!
