My best friend's mom committed suicide last week. I've been a wreck in my own way since then. It's been difficult for me to grasp how to deal with this. It's opening up very fresh wounds from my dad's death just a few months ago but this is so different. It's incomprehensible. My heart keeps breaking over and over for my sweet Cindy. I want to keep her with me and protect her from every bad thing that's out there. But I can't. I can only be here for her in any way she needs. Cindy's mom was a wonderful person. She always laughed with us and let us have parties in their basement. She was so happy to meet Victor, she loved him. But most of all she was Cindy's mom and I'll be forever grateful for raising such a beautiful daughter.
