Laughing at the mental images brought to her by Lucy’s story, Levy shook her head slightly, fondness curving her lips in a smile. “Typical Natsu…will he ever learn?” Probably not.
She tapped her fingers lightly against her teacup as she added, “Jet does the same thing. Maybe it’s just a guy thing? We went out to dinner the other night, Jet, Droy, and I. There was this spicy dipping sauce that came with the meal, and Droy tried to warn Jet about it, told him to not go too crazy on it, but of course that only made Jet dump the whole lot of it on his plate.”
With a roll of her eyes, she sighed, but her smile was still in place. She waved the topic away with her hand, mind jumping tracks. “Oh, did you finish that book you were telling me about?”
"nope!" lucy gleefully answered levy's question, popping the final 'p' in the word. it was true, after all and lucy felt as if she had to reiterate that because maybe, just maybe, natsu will prove her wrong. she certainly hoped so. for this, at least.
lucy found herself laughing as well and with a shake of her head she said, "guys are weird. i guess droy is the exception." then again, droy did have his own weird Guy Moments at times to lucy's memory. at least he knows how to season.
all thoughts of levy's old teammates vanished at the question the other woman posed. at first, lucy got nervous — did levy mean The Book? — but then her mind wandered to the fantasy novel she talked about last time. lucy's eyes sparkled with excitement. "yes!! i was able to finish it not long after we talked about it. oh, levy, it was sooo good! the main character is so smart, even without all the extra meta knowledge she had of the world. and her love interest wasn't boring, though his name was kyle. i always like it when the guy falls first, though. it just makes more sense to me."
