Meanwhile, in ‘Merica
This week, I learned that it’s easier for me to get a gun than it is to get a topical back pain medication paid for by my insurance provider.
So, to elaborate, for all of the gun nuts losing their shit, me buying my gun would have been an entirely same day process, had the gun been in stock at that store, and had I been in possession of the entirety of the funds required to purchase it.
Yes. Including the background check. I was surprised.
It took two days for the process of the doctor who wrote my prescription signing off on something for my insurance provider to say "yes, there is ACTUALLY a medical necessity for this item" to be cleared by my insurance provider, in order for them to agree to pay most of the cost.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Check-in
Y'know, I gotta say, I really wasn't expecting to be homeless this long. Regardless, I'm saving up to come back to where I actually know people; with a little bit of comfort spending here and there. It looks like I'm about halfway to where I need to be, at the moment. Once I hit my goal, I guess I start long distance job hunting.
Another thing, on which I work.
A bit empty overall, but it’s still in progress.
Sounds like…an underwater section, or a cave. My mind immediately jumped to Ecco and Ecco2. I know the source. It’s like…the soundtrack to a game that was never made. Does that make sense?
Actually, yes. A few of my earlier tracks were intended to sound kind of like credit rolls, and others are heavily influenced by vidjagame atmospheres.
One was a DKC remix that I kinda gave up on because I couldn't get FL to make a believable saxophone noise.
Another from back in the day.
Been living out of my car the past 4 months, so here’s some old shit i probably shared here before, but now it’s on SoundCloud.
This track's almost old enough to buy cigarettes, and I was going a different name back then.
Well, this time I'm linking my bandcamp, because I need to get my car fixed again, it's halfway through the month, I'm between jobs, and bills need to get paid.
This probably wouldn't be anywhere near as much of a problem if the car wasn't required to do the job in the first place.
Anyway, if you like what you hear, drop something in the bucket and/or pass it on; tracks are a buck (and the pickin's still pretty slim right now), but you can pay more if you really want.
More of my old stuff. Not stellar on either end, but pretty strong in the middle.
My computerless, elderly neighbor has lupus; she can't have gluten and needs low-to-no sodium. I help her shop because we live on a hill, and her son's a roadie, so sometimes he has to be gone for several weeks at a time.
From what I can tell, she pretty much only eats Ezekiel bread, organic squash and bananas, and she's mentioned having rice and quinoa on occasion; but she always says she wishes she could eat other stuff.
Any additional suggestions, internet?
You might remember this from 3 years ago… I can actually get to work on finishing it, now.
Making one's way through the wreckage to save it from the aggressive radiation of a star
LSU photography student Katie Joy Crawford has personally struggled with general anxiety disorder for over a decade. For her senior thesis exhibition, she
"Depression is when you can’t feel at all. Anxiety is when you feel too much. Having both is a constant war within your own mind. Having both means never winning."
YES.
In other news; I might finally be getting some stuff off the HD in my more recently dead laptop.
That hopefully means finishing years-old shit.
Yeah, I need one of these.
If you know the dudes I'm talking about, tell 'em I'm lookin' for 'em.
“Whoa. Intense.”
