"Ah, sir... Are you going to be alright?" Kaon asked, tilting his helm to the side. "I had heard that you had had a vocal inhibitor collar placed on you and I wanted to check to see if everything was as well as it could be."
Tarn had confined himself to his quarters while this infernal device remained on his neck. He kept a data pad near him for communications purposes. When Kaon entered he looked up from his desk before returning his attention to the data pad.
||I am fine, Kaon, your concern is appreciated.||
It wasn’t like his single defining feature was STRIPPED from him. He was perfectly fine.

Tarn sat back in his chair, even his exhale was garbled by the collar.
||If you can track it’s origin, it might tell us who will be put on the list. Someone is going to pay for this with their life.||
He seemed to be handling his situation well, or as well as he could be. There was a long pause, the room having gone silent except for the gentle hum of their running ship.
||I feel helpless, Kaon.||
Nodding in affirmation, Kaon made a mental note to start tracking the origin of the offending party as soon as possible. However, he didn’t immediately exit the room. Something about Tarn’s tone of voice made the electrocutioner hesitate.
He was soon glad that he did.
The masked mech’s admittance made Kaon frown deeply. He made sure that the door was closed behind him before walking over to the tankformer. The blind mech kept his hands folded behind him, and his footfalls were particularly light.
Stopping when he was at Tarn’s side, Kaon hummed quietly in thought before speaking.
“While it’s understandable that you would feel that way, sir…” The electrocutioner managed a small, albeit sincere, smile. “There is no doubt that the Division will continue to support you and enforce your rule, regardless of the collar.”
Kaon’s smile then took on a rather morbid glint.
“And I will personally see to it that we find whoever is responsible and show them the…error of their ways.”
