Always complaining on how embarrassing their parents are; making them do chores, denying sleepover for family night, endless small talk during dinner about their grades. It seems so frivolous to them, like a annoying gnat they can't swat away.
Why does it feel like a glimpse of sunlight peaking through clouds before cruelly being ripped away. He's never been able to bask in its warmth.
