Comanechi are the infamous London trio comprised of former The Big Pink and PRE drummer and singer (respectively) Keex, Simon (guitar/bass) and Charlie (drums). Casting a long and looming shadow over the London noise rock contingency, their first album Crime Of Love (Merok, 2009) earned them 9/10s in NME and Loud & Quiet, whilst this year's unrelenting follow-up You Owe Me Nothing But Love (Tigertrap) featured in The Quietus' 'Albums of the Year So Far' feature. Their ferocious, unpredictable live shows have seen them invited to share stages with Gossip, Dum Dum Girls, Lydia Lunch, The Drums and many more.
Female Smell are a brand new four-piece of noiseniks from Birmingham. A who's who of nobodies, deadbeats and duddards, stricken with addiction and bad attitude, tempered with a spit on a cloth Nan and wipe his face charm. They play spite-fuelled, fun, noisy, messy, raw garage punk rock with a harsh metallic edge. With a trail of seismic gigs under their belts, they released a limited cassette called No Mards via DLPR in June.
Together they bring you H.A.T.E. / Payday Loans – a split 7” single on DLPR Records on banana yellow vinyl, with 'puke and piss' themed laser cut artwork, limited to only 250 copies. Comanechi's offering 'H.A.T.E.' (featuring Mark from Palehorse and Trencher) is a study in vengeful menace, whilst Female Smell's 'Payday Loans' is an equally malignant swirl of clattering psychosis.
