There's something comforting about her words: this is a safe space, he can be vulnerable here. He's forever guarded and for good reason, but it has nothing to do with her. Sometimes Jason does wish he could let his guard down enough to let someone else in, to let them see just how much he's hurting — both physically and mentally. It would make things a lot easier.

A SAFE HOUSE AWAY FROM TERRORS WAS SOMETHING ONE WAS MORE THAN CAPABLE OF PROVIDING, perhaps she could never compel anyone to trust her right off the bat, which was more than understandable in a reality and world they could see beyond the normal human lives layer. Donna can't ignore the phantom, nor her curiosity regarding all he kept to himself, but there was a solace she could offer with her simple presence, a safe heaven for trusting if he would ever be willing to deposit it on her grasp. she could bide her time, pretend there was nothing wrong or amiss, let him decide what the next step would be. if her presence was not on his terms, she would respect his decision and deal with her concerns from afar.

NOSTALGIA HAD A WAY OF HOLDING EXPECTATIONS WAY HIGHER THAN THE NORMAL. Anyone could argue against it, her stubborn instincts payed absolutely no mind to what the number fourty-four and captain of Briar's hockey team had caringly warned her once learning her intention to seek out John's family garage when she came by and found he had left two days ago due a thing coming up at the place 𝄖 which apparently had turned to be a code to do not interact all of a sudden, which made little to no sense across her head. WHERE WAS SHE ANYWAY? Oh, yes. Donna Troy was an stubborn woman herself, she didn't back down because of a mere warning from someone she'd come to meet for nearly two months now, not when she knew John Logan like the back of her hand and for far much longer than he had. Something was off, he might need her around or something.

Logan & Sons hadn't changed much 𝄖 sure, there were a couple of upgrades, including a TV and a new sign that was already a little bit up due the sun exposition, ... but it was still the same place she would find Johnny late in the evenings after Jeff finished teaching him something and she'd steal him for a couple of hours to watch a movie or simply make out as horny teenagers would do behind the shop or inside his bedroom.

If being honest, despite loving Themyscira down to her bones, there were complicated feelings regarding her mother and majesty, Queen Hippolyta, who never quite gave her the motherly treatment 𝄖 that was solely reserved for Diana, something she would never hold against her older sister, who had raised her as a proper mother should have since day one. Fufilling a role quite like this had never crossed her mind, quite used to being the youngest sister and pupil altogether.
