Ivanka suddenly felt guilty about how she had reacted. Dmitri had asked her to dinner nicely, and instead of being polite, she had spat Vodka on him and rejected him. She shouldn’t feel guilty, but she did, and it was an awful feeling. Backtracking a little, she went to him, taking the cloth from his hand and dabbing at the wet spot on his chest. “I’m sorry…” She said in a small voice. “I didn’t mean to sound so rude. You took me by surprise.” For a time, her gaze remained on the task, but after some much needed breath, she craned her neck to meet his eyes. “I don’t understand why you would want to take me out to dinner when I’ve been so rude to you.”
There was something so tender about the way she walked up to him. He sighed and leaned on the counter, letting her take the small towel. Why did he have such a soft spot for the woman who just a while ago tried to accuse him of lying and treason? Just now he wanted to brush the strand of hair that fell away from the rest, framing her face beautifully. Maybe the lady had put something in his drink. It was the only explanation he could think of. He nodded, skeptically knotting his brows together. “Me neither... almost seems like magic.”He replied, crossing his arms.
