New rule. No more bright, unnatural light after sundown. Lanterns and candles give off plenty. Enough to read without struggling. Do this for a few weeks and see how much your night vision improves and how much better your sleep gets.
It’s crazy to think that for millions of years we used our night vision every evening for hours. Now we basically never let our eyes adjust to the dark and live among impossibly bright, unnatural lights. 24hr lighting is used for interrogation and torture. I imagine it gives our bodies a good daily dose of stress.
So damn right.
