I'm not gonna lie, I responded to the original post the other day and then proceeded to immediately write the outline for a comic fantasy baseball TTRPG.

Two of the player positions are "locker room warlock" and "jersey wizard". The phrase "the game proceeds pretty similarly to real baseball" is written throughout the draft.

At it's core it's a weird mix of messing around with speed, hitting power, and morale to average out pitching versus hitting rolls and then use underhanded tactics to distract or steal bases. Hypnotism and curses are major game mechanics. It is essentially the same as real baseball.
