It was big scary nebulous thing for a while... so I called a real estate lawyer about it and was told that we just need to have $1500 to have it legally transferred over to my parents' names - it has to go to probate but that's fine bc Granny passed seven years ago, so probate will last as long as it takes to file the paperwork and everyone sign off on it vs the usual ~4 months.

ANYWAY I am trying to get that $1500 ASAP because once its in my parents' names, we call all rest easier at night.
