Favourite AU - Everyone is trans now
Okay so many not everyone but I wanna explore my favourite trans headcanons, and maybe some silly ones too. I totally understand why the dads maybe don't wanna fully explore it cause non of them are trans. But as a trans person myself gotta love just projecting that on my favourites.
This has to be one of the most obvious one. More than once in season one he said he doesn't want Ron to call them son and thought it would be weird if his mom called them that???? So true bestie, why be called son when you could be a daughter. Honestly Terry totally give me the vibe of like 'yeah I might be trans but I gotta save the world so I dont have time for that just now'.
Nick Close/Nicholas Foster/Nicky/Whatever else his name has been (Trans Masc)
See this one wasn't immediately obvious to me but on listening back I can kinda see it. Someone who is just trying his best, wants to make his dad proud. Its like hes seeing his dad be this cool, somewhat masculine man, so he decides to try and make himself more like that cause thats what he thinks a man is. Same with Jodie. I think its common for any kid to wanna be like his dad but theres just something a little transgender about that guy.
He and Mercedes are T4T, he gave birth to his beautiful boys. I do not care what anyone else says. Theres also the whole Hen Ry'Oak. Hen is obviously associated with female chickens so maybe a weird boys name. Also a short king, just like me!
Scam Likely (genderfluid/non-binary)
This canonically bisexual, chaos god is just a non binary monarch of amazing proportions. I dont even feel like i need to back this one up. Potential m-preg king after everything with Jodie and Hermie but truly who knows. Theres nothing else to say, im just right.
Normal Oak-Swallows-Garcia-Li-Wilson-Swift-Marlowe-Unworthy (Trans masc)
Another kid who is a little goofy, doesn't fully know who he is yet. Spends most of season two trying to make his dad proud. The mascot suit is basically a big dysphoria hoodie??? Im sorry what cisgender person spends thier time in a giant male teenager costume. I love you Normal Oak.
Hermie the Unworthy (non-binary)
Like parent, like child. He is literally the embodiment of all teenagers, so its gotta be non-binary. They are an acting chameleon and gender is not a barrier.
In all honesty I think there could be an argument for most characters to be seen through the trans lense. I think it can be a very interesting way to explore characters in a new light and also just normalise trans folks.
