if marriagegate is real, i don’t even know how to begin unpacking the implications of dan and phil waiting almost 17 years to tie the knot.

like, was dan’s noncommittal/“i don’t want marriage” thing just a shtick and a way to hide their relationship better? was it a way to cope with the reality of not being able to get married even if they wanted to so they could avoid getting outed? to soften the blow of reality that it was something they could never have? to make it hurt less?

or was it real and dan just finally was able to unpack WHY he felt noncommittal about marriage, and has now come around to wanting that?

why did they seem sooo stressed in this interview 😭 they're answering such different questions than the ones being asked it's like watching them play a word association game but with a pack of wild animals chasing them

LOLL bc they’d rather post a sex tape on onlyfans than actually say they make bunch of money 😭😭 but also honestly i feel like they have pretty like boilerplate answers to questions and now that phan is #confirmed they’re getting asked slightly different questions but still trying to use their boilerplate answers and it doesn’t always line up. or they have to pivot and don’t think about what they’re saying like why did dan compare their dating to the earth being flat 😭💀 basically their media training is outdated and they need to come up with new answers to repeat every interview 💔
