Kaya Scodelario as Cathy in Wuthering Heights (2011)
I really like this russian edition of classic books. Letting famous artists do the covers in YA style was such a simple but clever decision. According to the recent study the number of teenage readers increased, possibly thanks to these covers. I own traditional classics with blank covers but if I ever see one of these in the wild, itβll probably make me go feral.
Here are some of my favs:

Assorted Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves headcanons (and yes, I am ignoring Wizards' character sheets for the party):
"Honor Among Thieves" is the party name
The film is basically the group reuniting to resume a campaign that ended up on hiatus previously because of scheduling issues. The DM intended for this arc to either wrap up the campaign or resume it depending on what the players decide, and by the end the group does decide to keep it going
The film takes place over the course of 11 sessions or so
Edgin's player is the notetaker of the group, and the DM frequently lets them handle the recaps, especially when it's been a while since the last session or a lot has happened
Holga's player likes characters that can do a lot of damage. If they play a spellcaster, they mostly pick high-damage spells. Otherwise, they tend to go for Barbarians, gunslingers, et c.
Edgin's and Holga's players tend to make characters that complement each other. They also share a single brain cell and tend to be fully on board with each other's bad ideas (*cough* Jarnathan *cough*)
They did not discuss the Jarnathan escape plan beforehand. Edgin's player just started asking about Jarnathan and Holga's player immediately realized where they were going with that
This is not the first time Jarnathan has showed up. It will not be the last time. Every time he shows up the whole table cheers
I am a believer of the common theory that Edgin is in fact casting spells throughout the movie but it's stuff like Friends or Charm Person... but I also think he's casting spells when he hits people with his lute. The closest fits would be Magic Weapon or Shillelagh (yes they require a weapon but I assume Edgin's player asked the DM if they could use it on their lute instead and the DM said "sure"), neither of which is on the Bard spell list, but I figure this party's probably at level 9 or 10 and Edgin seems like a College of Lore bard so he probably could get them anyway. That, or it's some kinda homebrew spell
Simon's player isn't the best at the RP side of things or at doing character voices, so they tend to make characters that are standoffish, silent, shy, anxious, et c., to minimise that. At this point though, they're trying to do a bit more character stuff
Doric's player is new to the group and to playing a Druid in general, so they don't get a lot of the inside jokes, haven't quite figured out what they want to do with Doric, and at this point mostly just use Wild Shape
Doric's player initially forgot that they couldn't Wild Shape into an Owlbear, then remembered and was about to go for something else, but turns out this group actually has a house rule that says Monstrosities count as Beasts for Wild Shape purposes as long as your character understands them well enough for that
It's been a while since I've played and I've never been a Druid, so I could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure that RAW, you wouldn't be able to string together that many transformations without a short rest... so I also headcanon that another house rule this group has allows you to turn into multiple different animals within a single use of Wild Shape as long as you don't transform back to normal. Possibly at the expense of a spell slot each time
Doric's subclass is Circle of the Moon
Doric's and Simon's players are dating IRL, so they decided to have their characters also be in a romance together. They eventually change their mind about the in-character romance, but that's something that happens after the film
In the Underdark session, the DM misread the Intellect Devourer's stat block as saying that they can sense anything with an intelligence modifier of +3 or higher, hence why they completely ignored the party. When they realized their mistake, they were about to correct themselves but the players said sticking with the modifier version is fine
The way attunement works in this movie is another house rule
Kira is actually a full-on player character, but her player couldn't make it until the last couple sessions, so when Kira appeared before then it was with the DM puppeting her (with the player's permission). The same thing with Forge's player. Both times, when the DM called the actual player into the room, the whole table cheered
Forge's player had, before the campaign got hit by those schedule slippages, discussed with the rest of the group the idea of Forge betraying the party at some point and they were pretty cool with it
Also, the DM and Forge's player are married
The group has a running gag of guessing that random things are actually mimics. When that treasure chest in the arena maze turned out to actually be a mimic, which none of them expected, the table cheered. Again
Forge's player knew about the Jarnathan escape plan
When someone is overflowing with compassion for Charlie Kirk and not for other murder victims, it can be hard to understand how that's possible.
But there's a very simple explanation. On the giant list of people who have been murdered, this is the one in which they feel like it could have easily been them.
Someone was murdered by police? That could never be me. I obey the law.
Someone was murdered by a man because she rejected him? That could never be me. I don't lead men on. Or I'm a man.
Someone was murdered for being LGBT? That could never be me. I'm not LGBT. Or I am but I'm not flamboyant about it.
Someone was murdered for being Muslim? That could never be me. I'm not Muslim.
Someone was bombed in another country? That could never be me. It's happening way over there.
Someone died because they couldn't afford healthcare? That could never be me. I'm healthy.
Someone died because they're homeless and froze to death? That could never be me. I work hard and make smart financial decisions.
Someone was murdered for being openly bigoted? That could easily be me. If this becomes a pattern, I could easily be next.
This is the one time in which their privilege doesnβt protect them. This is the one time in which their face is vulnerable to the leopards. This is the one time in which they fear that the "first they came for" poem will end with them.
everybody in the notes like:
This is the single best video of a loon I've ever seen. Do you people realize how rare it is to see them that close? How rare it is to see them in that shallow of water? Incredible catch.

Wanted to add the alphabet itself here for people to use.
@nyushkawritesstuff
Also inside the SCAG, are a few more alphabets. Also shout out to the people on the Forgotten Realms wiki, love the work you guys do making lore accessible. Wiki people are heroes.
Fun fact, while "Common", or "Commonspeech" / "Commontongue" is the most easilly accessible language in faerun, and in most games is treated as "whatever language the people playing speak", it actually has lore. It is in universe, a simple language that, while lacking in the ability to describe complex things, is so universal and easy that most anything can speak it. Though, it mostly is used as a trade language.
It actually has its linguistic roots in Old Common, which descended as a variant of the Jhaamdathan language (Not going to go too deep into Jhaamdath, but it jhaamdath is essentially a lost human civilization that was practically the Netheril of Psionics in a way. That is, before the elves used Elven High Magic to obliterate it.)
But yeah, the jhaamdathan language, aka "old Chondathan", combined with the language alzhedo, which descended from-
Essentially, common is a part of a big language tree with a good many other similiar, related, or cousin languages.
And! Common has its own alphabet too!
Another language with interesting lore is Infernal, which bears the following alphabet:
Its actually split into a number of sub-languages, designed around the Nine Hells and their caste society, with increasing complexity.
Its lowest form was designed as a simple tongue suited for battlefield commands. The next was equivalent to most mortal languages, and is the most commonly learnt amongst mortals.
The next form up, honestly, I could try to describe it, but I think I couldn't match the books description, so I'll give it in full (Source: Faces of Evil: The Fiend)
Which goes hard as hell.
And the final form is just, barely comprehensible to a mortal. You need to be a proper devil, a being literally made out of the planar concept of Totalitarian Evil itself, to comprehend, and is despairing just to attempt to.
The language itself, audibly, is described as being nonsensical and complex, and generally hideous. A combination of "Elegant verse", "A barking hound", and "The subtle smell of hatred."
Draconic is also a neat language since its very old
I have no huge opinions on it, but the list of descendent languages, or languages that use its alphabet, is massive. Among them is Netherese, the big old dead guys of Toril.
Draconic looks like this:
And is audibly described as sounding a lot like a "hiss", and in writing, had a special character that took the form of a depiction of Tiamats 5 heads, or when simplified, an Asterisk, which denoted emphasis (And in speaking, forced a word emphasized to have its first and last syllable emphasized.
It also has no word for "my" or "Mine"
Dwarvish is one of my favourites, though thats because I'm fond of dwarves in general in dnd. Fun fact about dwarvish, is that you dont write it in lines, but in spirals. It also only has 24 characters, since as you'll spot, w,x and z are all representeed by the same character.
Capitalization was done to indicate the start of a sentence, as the language lacked punctuation. This was done by simply adding a flat line over the top of the letter
In addition, this alphabet has other special characters, I.E. having a dedicated, single character for "Orc"
Dwarvish is rarely written in paper or cloth, because, well, dwarves dont like the impermanence of it. So its often carved into stone or metal.
Which is why the language was made up of straight lines, easier to carve
Ah! And their number system is actually pretty neat.
And to finish off, heres a handful of untranslated pieces, feel free to have a go at deciphering them yourselves.
Heres one in Elvish
In dwarvish, heres one of those spiral stones I mentioned earlier
And heres a shop sign from BG3

Curse of Strahd dump #01. This is apparently the most images I can fit in one post, I guess! A lot of these were portraits used for tokens. Iβve gone and labeled some of them, because some of them include NPCs in the base game, and itβs always fun to see peopleβs taken on those! The height charts were made because my party kept stuffing NPCs into a bag of holding.
My party played the game in a very⦠anime/Neverwinter Nights kind of way, where they tried to gather as many friendly major NPCs as they could into a tiny army to fight Strahd. The first height chart shown is pretty much every major NPC they managed to befriend and convince to join them. And yes, they would sometimes put every single one of them in the same room at the same time. Playing like 16 people at once is hard.

the difference between love and possession, like the conversation between dani and jamie in bly manor is shown so well through olivia and nellie crain in hill house.
nellie loved her family unconditionally, loved them enough to forgive them without question, to let them go, to want nothing but goodness and warmth for them.
whereas olivia wanted them for herself, didnβt want them to leave her alone again. i believe that she truly thought that what she did was love them, but essentially she just clung onto them and tried to keep them from living their lives outside of her.
which is why olivia kept bringing them back and dooming them by binding them to the house and nellieβs unwavering love was essentially what saved them all.
loving someone is supporting them, cherishing them, forgiving them and growing with them. we so often confuse that with trying to change them, take charge for them and owing them.
