Anastasia roamed the halls of the institute with her briefcase. She prepared everything the night before… All the intro-documents for her patients, all the info she needed for the database, all the information flyers for her patients and of course her lunch. When she was walking towards the staff cafeteria she saw a familiar face walking in front of her. She smiled, knowing it was a perfect opportunity. “Mister Wright!” she called, as she quickly made her way over to him. His tone took her by surprise. A little bit shook, she smiled. He was probably in a hurry. “So glad to run into you finally” she started warmly. “I’m Anastasia Leos, the new therapist at the institute. Sorry if I interrupted you”. Unsure if she should shake his hand she kindly introduced herself. He looked like a stiff and cold man, but then again he was the director.
“Ah, yes – Miss Leos, your application looked promising. We are glad to have you on board.” The older begun, extending his hand as a courteous offer to her introduction, stopping in his tracks and offering a smile – despite not being the warmest. Robert was never one of the kindest of people… He had never been the friendliest face in the playground as a child or the most approachable as a teen – he had this twisted understanding of DISCIPLINE, one that he followed and refused to learn about. Perhaps, that was why he was such a bitter old man who held no solace when it came to those who misbehaved. He held the very old-fashioned belief of ‘teach them a lesson’, which was why he had no remorse in throwing people into solitary confinement. “I was hoping to catch you at some point, truth be told. I heard it on the grapevine that one of your patients, Felix Marshall, was spotted with a carton of matches. In case you are yet to meet him, he is a pyromaniac. Do you see my concern? I would address the issue firsthand but I know the game of chinese whispers–ever so popular in a place like this.”
