when they were kids ben asked richie straight up "are you in love with eddie?" and obviously at first richie deflects and is like "uh, fuck you, are you in love with bev?" and ben answers "yeah" and rich is shook by the honesty and is like "uh, okay then!!" and after a bit of back and forth and freaking out he's finally like "YEAH, FUCKING FINE, I'M IN LOVE WITH EDDIE" and then they start their own lil two person club calling "the pining club" where richie rants about eddie and ben rants about beverly and through that they start to talk more about real shit

they're in the club house one day and ben's doing homework and is like "i'm so confused, this makes no sense??" and richie takes one look and is like "dude are you fucking kidding me? i expect bill to be this big of a dumbass, but you?" and helps him with the worksheet and ben is lowkey surprised bc he didn't know richie was, like, a straight a student

they start doing homework together and sometimes richie is just too off the fucking walls to do his own but usually when it comes to Helping Ben he's got a bit more of a handle on it ("do you think you might have adhd?" "is that an std?") and then one day ben hands him a book and is like "hey, rich, you should read this" and richie of course is like "fuck no, that shit's for nerds and virgins" but he takes it home bc, well, ben asked him to and it's not that long and he'll probably just forget about it like he does most books bc he can never focus. richie opens the first page and sees "in the beginning the universe was created. this has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move" and thinks "okay, this sounds kinda funny" and then doesn't look up for two hours, not even realizing the time has passed bc hyperfocusing is That Bitch (not that he knows that's what it was). his eyes hurt and his head is cloudy but holy Fuck that was good and when he tells ben excitedly the next day ben smiles and is like "do you want the next one" and richie's like "THERE'S A FUCKING OTHER ONE?" and that's how they start a little subsection of the pining club, their book club where ben learns richie likes comedy (figures), sci-fi, and, if it's got good humor to back it up, romance and richie learns ben likes romance (figures), non-fiction, and, if it's got good romance to back it up, horror.

they start out two pining dorks who barely knew each other but definitely care about each other and become best friends who absolutely adore each other and are 100% on their sides when it comes to their respective crushes ("i'm on your team" "what?" "you and eddie. i like you together" "well, i'm on you and bev's" "but you and bill-" "fuck me and bill. we're all losers, haystack, we all care about each other, and i'm on you and bev's team")

think it's very homophobic of me to not consider that when they're around fifteen mike is like freaking out about being in love with bill and richie notices that mike's being weird as fuck so he goes to him and mike like breaks down and is like "i'm gay and i like bill and i'm already so fucking scared to be in this town and the older i get the worse it gets and please don't tell-" and richie's like. "holy shit okay dude i promise i'm not gonna tell please calm down"

they sit and talk and richie tries to comfort him with "i am also... that" bc he still has trouble actually saying it and mike's like "what? in love with bill?" and richie's like "no mike i don't have shitty taste in guys" and it's enough to make mike laugh which is all richie wanted.

then he gets an idea like "hey man so me and ben have like... a club" and mike's like "yeah. the losers, rich. i'm in it." and richie rolls his eyes and says "nah man like a secret club without the rest of you fuckers. we basically just... complain about... feelings. for other people. he complains about bev and i complain about..." and he doesn't think he can get the words out bc he really only talks about this shit with ben and saying it to another person is fucking terrifiying but mike gives him a reassuring smile and richie reminds himself that this is someone who loves him and won't judge him so he finally gets out the "eddie. so, uh, if you want to join and complain about bill. or something. i'm sure haystack won't mind. he's probably sick of just listening to me."

so mikey agrees and like a week later they meet up at ben's house and mike's like "okay so what's the deal here." and ben's like "uh, well, we listen to very sappy music, complain about romance, and-"

"we vibe, mike" richie interrupts. "we just fucking vibe."

Today, November 20, is the Trans Day of Remembrance, a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia.

We honor those who found the courage to be true to themselves in the face of transphobia.

Although I am not trans myself, day in and day out, your stories have given me the courage to live life to the fullest and not let adversity and homophobia be my downfall.

Those whose lives were taken shall never be forgotten for they are still among us. They are the very foundation of our community. We are not just a collection of random queer individuals. We have come together with a purpose. There is still a long way to go. We must look up to our trans brothers and sisters who were true to themselves despite being condemned, hated on, and taken away from us, and draw courage from them.

Violence and transphobia will never win. Community, truth, and acceptance shall prevail.

In your footsteps of truth and courage I shall follow. Now and always.

PLEASE HELP ME BUY MEDS

Hey. Some of you may already saw my posts. I wanted to ask you for a little help, because I can’t manage on my own right now.

I was deregistered from the labor office because they wanted me to take a job 40km from my place where there’s no bus from my village or any transportation and the job was in the archive when there’s dust and It’s impossible for me to work because of my asthma. Because of that I now don’t have insurance for 6 months and I had to pay 100% for all my meds and for medical visits. So it’s even worse that before.
