i’m gonna do my homework in a minute but each week i see so many parallels between meena and sam and bucky. (and even to a character they introduced this week.)

mcu!meena (ft some sneaky headcanons): 

after the whole grodd debacle, meena packs it up. but she does keep into contact with team flash.

her apartment isn’t huge, but it’s enough and she works on making it extra home-y. 

which means a lot of warm colors.

there aren’t many plants. probably a couple of cacti. meena has a black thumb.

there are, however, many books. because she loves to read.

and though she is busy with her work a lot of the time, she also loves to cook. so chances are that, if you step inside her apartment, you’ll smell a hint of spices.

she smells like that, too.

meena has a favorite place to eat and that place is izzy’s. (she’s talked to leah a couple of times.)

she’d definitely run all the way to delacroix, louisiana so she could order something at wilson family seafood.

food is the way to her heart. 

her love languages are a mix of physical touch, acts of service and words of affirmation.

is bilingual and speaks hindi and english.

doesn’t like simians or simian creatures because of what happened with her and grodd.

has not and will not ever watch the planet of the apes movies.

meena has a soft spot for younger heroes and latches onto heroes of color - those who fight in space wars, like sam, and those who fight to keep their business afloat, like sarah.

PUT MORE BROWN GIRLS IN DCTV: Meena Dhawan/Fast Track in The Flash

In the comics, Meena is an ARGUS turned STAR Labs scientist who studies the Speed Force and speedsters. She is also a speedster herself named ‘Fast Track’ who also has the ability to sense the speed force on other people.

My The Flash version of this character is also a former ARGUS scientist who starts working at STAR Labs at the request of ARGUS Director Lyla Michaels after Caitlin’s departure since the team needs someone with bioengineering, biochemistry and biomedical experience, all of which Meena has. I think the show will probably give that role to Julian but I hope that they don’t because STAR Labs needs more women since lbh STAR Labs is a bit of a sausage fest right now (that episode where Barry went to the future just proved that lol) and having more WoC in the cast never hurts.

In the comics, Central City was struck by a ‘Speed Force storm,’ where lightning bolts rained down and turned a bunch of unsuspecting citizens into speedsters. In 3x23, there seemed to be a huge lightning storm caused by the imbalance in the Speed Force, so my dream plot for Season 4 will be that there are a ton of speedsters that were created by this happening, similar to the many Slayers storyline in Buffy.

Meena will be one of the people who got hit by the lightning storm and becomes a speedster. Part of her abilities as a speedster is to sense those affected by the Speed Force and the lightning storm. This, coupled with her knowledge of meta-humans through her work at ARGUS and creation of an algorithm to check non-invasively for the meta-human gene in people, helps STAR Labs track down other citizens who have also became speedsters to identify them, find out of they are good or bad, ask them if they need any help with their training/making their speedsters super-suits, if they want to help Team Flash, etc.

In Season 4, since Barry Allen/The Flash is in the Speed Force prison, it is up to the other members of Team Flash to fight crime and subdue meta-humans to protect Central City. Although Cisco Ramon/Vibe helps out from time to time, speedster wise, Wally West/Kid Flash is left all alone since Jesse Wells/Jesse Quick went back to protect Earth 2 now that Jay Garrick/The Flash is out of the Speed Force prison and can protect Earth 3 again. Unable to watch Wally single-handedly try to protect Central City all by himself, Meena creates a speedster super-suit with Cisco’s help and helps Wally to protect the city as Fast Track.

Actress: Parveen Kaur

See here’s the thing JR has a fellow Manifest castmate who would be perfect for the role of Meena Dhawan and that is Parveen Kaur. The interesting thing about her character, Saanvi Bahl, is that she is a medical researcher who was developing cures for diseases such as cancer & leukemia. In the comics Meena Dhawan is a doctor who worked with the Flash in training the new speedsters who were given powers by the Speed Force Storm. She also showed back up again alive and was secretly working for Black Hole & Grodd (though she was under his mind control). See the funny thing about both JR. and Parveen is just how spot on they’d be for these two roles. Here we have two individuals playing these two characters whom are very similar to these two comic characters that it’s like they MANIFESTed into being. Even the plot of the show has some similarities to the Rebirth story-line. Basically, it revolves around storms, time travel, secret government operations, and angels/heaven. Much like JR the downsides I see to her playing the role is being too focused on her current show. There’s also the fact she wants to break out of the stereotypical role of South Asian actors playing nerd characters such as doctors and so forth. However, you never know what the writers will come up with and possibly we could hopefully see them both on the show.

i’m probably gonna lean more towards the tv show canon if meena ever appears. chester read a book with her name on it so i’m guessing she’ll appear at some point. (and if not then i’m just gonna make my own canon because i had plans to cross her over with the mcu anyway.)

i’m super confused though because according to her wikia entry: she was an agent of black hole, but she was one because of grodd. so why would she be sent to iron heights in the first place? why would she be on probation / supervision? shouldn’t it be a bucky in the falcon and the winter soldier type of situation instead?
