“Or he’s blocking his emotions. He’s done it before. Just building a wall to make it easier for him. So I’m worried he did that.” Elliot shrugged. “I think we could. At least I want to have a kid or a few with you. We deserve to have our lives together plus we both took on more shifts at the hospital than we need to so if we both knock off a few hours we will still make good money, work and we can have a little one to take care of.”

“Well you know him better than I do. I just hope he is okay, and talks to you and your sister more.” She said. “I want to have children with you too. I want that part of our lives, sooner rather than later. I guess I’ll have to rework my schedule, maybe drop some of my ER hours or the overnights that I take on. I just worry about the days when we both have to work, if we’re going to have to hire a nanny or maybe rely on your siblings more to help.. There’s just so much to think about.”

Elliot looked at her for a moment. “Probably not or at least not until he’s happy. Once he has a girlfriend who won’t screw him over.” Elliot mumbled and looked down at her. “No we haven’t talked really about it. But I am happy to talk about it now if you want?”

“I think he’ll be okay until he finds one. He seems to have gotten past the heartbreak a little bit.” She smiled, and shrugged at the question. “I do want to talk about it. I want to see if we’re ready, you know? Like if we could handle this?”

“Fair enough.” He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her. “I think it did. He’s on the mend, my little bro. Fine fine I won’t be worried. Oh boy we already don’t get sleep.”

Izzy rested her head against his shoulder for a brief moment and smiled. “I’m glad he is. Maybe you can drop some of that weight off of your shoulders.” She said before pulling back to look up at her husband. “So we’ve said a lot about what they might be like, our kids I mean, but we haven’t talked about when this is going to happen..?”

“I thought I hid them so well. Whoops.” He grinned. “I think Al needed it as well. I am a little more worried than relaxed if your blood is more coffee. Hope it wouldn’t effect our kids.”

“You probably should put them somewhere other than the closet babe.” She said with a laugh. “It must’ve helped get his head out of the dark cloud it was in for so long. I think if I’ve made it this long, I’ll be okay. It just means they’ll be hyper kids.”

“You’d think but I’m actually a clown.” Elliot chuckled and looked up at her. “I know you will be. Yeah I think he is but I imagine he had fun at Uncle Al’s with Bear.”

“You know, I was wondering where those giant shoes and the red noses came from.” She joked. “Coffee is my blood at this point, so don’t worry. I’m sure he did, it must’ve been fun having the two of them there.”

      “Yes! There hasn’t really been much of original ideas in the film business, there’s too many remakes and such taking over the big screen it seems.”

“Well some of the remakes look okay, but it’s definitely getting way too repetitive. But it seems like all the independent movies are the only ones doing something new.”

“Of course.” Izzy smiled back. “Take all the time you need, make yourself at home Emilia. Can I get you something to drink?”

“Not too much though. It’s not good for your heart.” he smiled up at her. “He’s surprisingly quiet considering we haven’t seen him in a few days.”

“You’d think you were a cardiologist or something.” Izzy joked. “But I’ll be fine babe. I think he is mad at us for leaving him for so long.”

“If you had an older brother would you want to hang out with him.” He teased her. “I’ve done that before when we were little.” He moved a little bit when she elbowed him, and he pretended to be in pain. “True. I’m sure they are having fun and we’re having fun so everyone is happy. Yeah that could be fun, have everyone over for a little bit.” He nodded. “I guess it does make going back to work harder but I do miss just coming home with you, having dinner, having some wine then watching a film or something then curling up next to you to sleep.”

“Well seeing as how I don’t really know the bad parts of having a sibling or why I wouldn’t want to, of course I’d want to hang out with him.” She shrugged at the idea. “You’ve pinned her down to hang out with her? That’s a little sad babe.” Izzy joked, rolling her eyes at his pretending. “Exactly, I’m glad this festival happened, it seems to have brought a lot of people closer. It’s nice. It’ll be good to catch up, especially since we haven’t seen each other much since we went home.” She said. “Well I am going to miss sleeping past eight thirty. I like not having to be up at six am every morning.”

“Can you really call it camping though? I mean, bringing fine china and all of that, it seems like you can’t even really call that trying to camp. They probably just went home to sleep instead of staying in the tent.”

“Yeah, I did my clinical rotation there like last year and it was amazing, I can’t wait to do my residency,” she said. “That sounds good, we’ve got our lives sorted out then.”

“It’s a lot of fun, you’ll have a blast. I would've loved to do my residency over here, everyone is so sweet.” She smiled. “It’ll be perfect for sure.”

Elliot kept his arm around her, kissing the top of her head. The noise getting louder as they moved out of the chaos of tents. “I’m glad she’s out with friends. Not surprised she doesn’t want to hang with me especially. How boring would it be to spend a festival with your older brother. So am I. He needs her as a friend. I hope not, he’s getting better which makes me more relaxed.” He looked down at her. “Neither do I…it’ll be okay though. The break was nice though.”

“I’m sure she’d love to hang out with you, you’d just have to pin her down and make sure she can’t leave.” Izzy teased, nudging her shoulder into his side. “If she’s with Jen then I think she’s probably still with one of her brothers. Maybe we should all get some dinner before it’s over, or invite them to our tent to hang out tonight?” She offered up the idea with a smile. “I’m glad you’re able to relax, I told you thinks would work out in the end.” Izzy said, shrugging. “I guess, it just makes going back to work even harder.”

“Alright sounds like a plan.” He pulled his shirt on but didn’t close the buttons all the way. “Probably, it’s a small enough festival. Though I think Al is hanging with Jen and Jake. They appear to be getting along so that’s where I imagine he is.” Elliot wrapped his arm around her waist after she grabbed her wallet. “Let’s go. Come on Marty.” 

Izzy leaned into his side as they walked away from the tent and towards the heart of the festival. “I haven’t seen her since the start of the festival but I’m sure she’s just with friends. I’m glad Al is getting along with her again. I hope they don’t go downhill again.” She said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “--I really don’t want to go back to work tomorrow..”

Elliot looked down at Izzy and Marty. “I can tell. I get the feeling you want to go play some carnival games. Also probably something everyone should do once. How about this. We grab some quick food, play some games, watch the concert and then go for a midnight swim?” He smiled brightly at her. He was just glad to be able to have this experience with her.

“I wouldn’t say no to that.” She said with a laugh. “That sounds like a good plan, we might run into your siblings at some point, I think this is Tori’s friend’s band playing next.. She’ll probably be there.” Izzy shrugged, climbing into the tent to grab her wallet before grabbing Marty’s leash again. “Okay, we can go. Lead the way babe.”

“I thought we were going for a swim before they started playing. Or have you changed our plans?” Elliot chuckled as he looked down at his wife. He was standing in front of their tent, shirt off and swim trunks on.

Izzy had just gotten back to the tent with Marty, having taken him for a walk before the next band started playing. She had forgotten all about wanting to go for a swim until she got back to Elliot standing and waiting for her. “Shoot, I completely forgot.. We can still go if you want to. Or we can go get something to eat before the band starts. Or there are those carnival games set up that we could go try out, I’ve never really played them before. But you can decide.”
