If you could have any other occupation what would it be?
“Well, I suppose it would have to be to have my own florist shop or maybe a plant nursery. Actually wait, I’d also like to be one of those people who makes reticulated skeletons.”
Leave me alone, I hate TMI Tuesday.
knowinggeorgia:
Georgia had just treated herself to a new pair of shoes and was making her way to work when she felt a squidge, followed by a man’s voice confirming what she’d already knew. Taking a deep breath the brunette holds back the tears that wanted to fall from her eyes. “ SOME PEOPLE SHOULDN’T HAVE DOGS!” Screaming out in frustration as she sighed. “ Why do people do this?”
Jayson nearly jumps out of his skin when the woman screams without reservation, moving back quickly as if he were afraid she’d swat at the closest person to her. Several other people turn their heads to stare in alarm. For a few moments, he seems entirely too shocked to even register her words. His heart beat quickens, anxiety triggered and making him want to hide in a hole in the ground. “Um.. was it really necessary for you to uh.. scream like that... in such a busy place?”
elodietaylcr:
“Hi, excuse me.” Elodie jogged to catch up to the person with a clipboard. She had intended to only get students from NYU, but her professor had said that they needed a wide variety of subjects. “I’m so sorry to bother you, but would you be interested in taking a quick survey? It’s for my Psychology class.”
If there’s one thing he really hates, it’s random strangers approaching him on the street. It immediately makes Jayson go on the defensive. Barely sparing her a glance, he attempts to just keep walking, but unfortunately there’s a crowd and some lady with a stroller who stopped right in the middle of the walkway is blocking his path. “No, sorry. I'm happy with my cell phone carrier, I don't want a free cheap bag with an ugly logo, and I don't need to try new shampoo.”

cipollavince:
Even at his age, Vince still hit up the gym frequently. It was important for his health to stay in shape, but also for his work. Besides, it kept him discipline, which was a great treat for someone like him to have. The trouble was finding a home gm where he felt comfortable. In the couple of weeks he’d been in the city, most were too intense or too dirty in the showers. he’d thought this one was a good fit, but after a set on the treadmill, he turned to the bench he’s left his towel on to find it missing. “ What the– where the hell is my towel?” He said aloud, not exactly yelling, but the few people nearby could hear. “ Did someone really steal another person’s sweaty, used towel?”
Jayson tries to keep to himself when at the gym. He doesn’t like all of the attention and he’s always afraid people are judging him (even though they probably aren’t). So as a result, he tends to try to use the machines where no one else is around at that moment. Unfortunately today it’s rather busy, and he has to use the one right next to this really buff looking guy with a hairy chest that puts him to shame. Jayson can’t even grow hair on his chest if he tries. He’s just setting his things down and settling on the machine when the man beside him exclaims to no one in particular about his towel. For a few moments, Jayson sits there awkwardly before deciding to reply. “There’s been a weirdo we haven’t been able to identify yet, going around and snatching dirty towels. What he does with them.. I don’t want to know.”
Who are the five hottest people here to you?
“I don’t.. know? I don’t really spend that much time looking at people. I’m too busy with work at the emergency room.”
When a person is as socially undesirable as Jayson Jung is, he tends to just run into people on accident a lot, exchange a few pleasant words, and then go on his way. Nobody really wants to interact with him because he doesn’t make himself seem like the friendliest person on Earth. His anxiety always wins the better of him and makes him want to get out of social situations as fast as possible.
However, sometimes, when things are allowed to advance naturally and at a snail’s pace without anyone or anything forcing Jayson to do something he’s not comfortable doing, things happen. Like, interaction type things.
Jayson has been frequenting this hangout spot for several months now. It’s usually quiet. The most noise he’d ever heard was on Open Mic Poetry Night, but that’s the kind of things he likes. Poetry is a way to express oneself without having to talk face to face. Several times he’s run into Eli, a nice man who seems to be as quiet and reserved as he. They’ve exchanged a few words here and there, but never have they gotten into a full-blown conversation.
When Jayson lowers himself into a chair at the empty round table in the corner with his buttered muffin and a cup of hot tea, he immediately notices Eli at the table next to his. He offers a small smile, but his anxiety once more wins out and keeps Jayson silent. He’d like to say something to Eli. Maybe even just to say “Hi, how are you doing?” but all of these thoughts rush through his mind. Eli will think I’m a weirdo for randomly asking this. He’ll think I’m a pervert or a predator. Only perverts just randomly ask how someone is, right? God, Jay, you’re so awkward. Get over yourself.
But he doesn’t get over himself. Pulling his book out of his bag, he flips to his saved page and attempts to read. @elixjackson
where would someone find you on a friday night?
“I don’t really go out. I’d be inside my apartment with a book or tending to my plants. Maybe I’ll be painting a little bit.”
what are three things you want to do before you die?
“Well.. I don’t know. Maybe I’d like to travel through South Korea for a few months and really connect with my heritage. I’d also like to create a garden, a really huge one, like the Secret Garden. And I don’t know.. there’s nothing else. Find love.”
Leave me alone, I hate TMI Tuesday.
While Jayson frequents the gym on a regular basis, he still isn’t very confident in his own body, and as a result, he tends to slip into the shower area when he’s pretty sure that there’s no one around. It’s almost like an old high school fear--being afraid that the group of jocks will surround you and make fun of you. It’s something that he wants to avoid at all costs. His social anxiety demands it. That, and his age-old fear of getting beaten up.
So Jayson slips into the shower area with a towel around his waist and his sandals on his feet. Looking back and forth to make sure the coast is clear, he pulls off his disgusting shirt and drops it on the bench. Then, Jayson begins to shuffle toward the showers. As he rounds the corner, he comes face to face with Garrett MacDiarmada. Jayson’s eyes widen briefly, but then his features quickly shift into one of blank seriousness. The last time he ran into Garrett, the guy told him he dresses like he’s going to Easter Dinner. What’s he gonna do now? Tell him not to be afraid to see a bit of man penis in the communal shower because everyone has one and it’s normal for guys to compare sizes? To not be such a dork or a loser? To get the fuck out because nobody wants to see an ugly little wimp in here?
High school memories rearing their ugly heads, for sure.
“Sorry, uh.. Didn’t know you were in here. I’ll just.. yeah..” He already is turning his body around before he even gets the rest of the sentence out, trying to make his face as stoic as possible. If a shark smells blood in the water, they go for it. @mrmacdiarmada
anniefyncanhappen:
As soon as Annie heard him, she lifted her feet and gave a look on that. After the saw that he was saying the truth, she pouted. “I did in on purpose don’t worry. I planned it all to get new shoes.” She jokes, laughing afterwards. “Oh well, it was, but I can just buy another one. There is nothing to do about that.” While she was speaking, Annie toke of her shoes and she started to walk just with socks until she found a trash can, throwing them there. “Thank you for warning me though.” She finished as she got besides him again while waiting for her train.
Recognizing that it’s sarcasm in order to deal with the situation, Jayson sighs softly. He understands the technique. If something is frustrating, use sarcasm as a defensive mechanism. However, what he doesn’t expect is to see the woman tossing her shoes right in the trash can. Eyes widen, staring at her. “You know.. these subway floors are some of the dirtiest places in the world. Do you think that was a good idea?” Jayson sure as hell wouldn’t walk around here without shoes. Just thinking about it makes him want to take a shower.
The elevators in his old building make him nervous. They’re just like almost everything else in this city--old as dirt and unreliable. Still, the idea of climbing twelve flights of stairs is just about as terrifying as the idea of getting in this elevator. So Jayson bites the bullet and slips inside, listening to the creaky groan of the suspension system as he shifts his weight. Great.Â
Briefly, his eyes wander over to the sole occupant who’s climbed inside with him. A regal looking blonde woman who appears to have a grasp on her life judging from outward appearances alone. Jayson nods to her in silent greeting, then he watches as the rickety old doors begin to close. @xagenthudson
