Amanda nodded, she was glad she wasnât the only one who wasnât so keen on their form. She noticed the other and couldnât help but smile at the petite female in front of her. âDr. Amanda Wilkins. Iâm normally a female obviously.â She said with a sigh as she looked down at her body again and noticed how tall she was and broad. âWho are you?â She asked looking up at the woman.Â

Amanda looked at the female and blinked, âOh. Thank you.â She said with a smile as she took the flower. Something about the other seemed familiar but she couldnât quite put her finger on it. âIâm sorry for bumping into you. Are you fine?â She asked as she looked the other over to make sure they actually were okay.Â

âDepression is a working process. Yes I can take it away but I think it would be best to help the other to deal with it and learn how to balance it out or get over it.â She said as she rubbed the back of her neck, she wasnât sure what this patients illness was but she may find out sooner or later. âWhen that time comes we can talk about it.â She offered with a light smile, she wasnât one to abuse her powers but if she could help the other she will do her best. âYouâre right. Perhaps there is nothing to really worry about. Hopefully, this whatever this is, will not last and things will go back to normal.â

Amanda held out her hands, very manly hands that were big and rough looking. âYou sure you are okay?â She asked worried as she looked the other over to make sure she had not actually hurt them. âPlease tell me, Iâm not the only one experiencing this and that this is reversible.â She said in her new deep voice. She looked at the other before realizing she seemed in a panic and took a moment to calm herself down. âSorry. Iâm just....freaked out.â

Amanda took a moment to take in the others questions and was happy to know the other wasn't afraid to ask these questions. "I suppose it changes them a bit, but nothing permanently those emotions will come back." She paused slightly, looking down at the smaller female. "You want me to change you? I have the ability yes but that is something that should not be taken lightly." She cautioned as she turned to look at her better. "You may be right. I suppose it's not horrible to be a man. Sexually that would make me gay. Perhaps the whole ordeal may also change our taste in sexual preference."

Amanda smiled, she knew it was normal for a patient to question her about her job. She just wasnât use to it yet as it was the first time the questions were directed to her. âOh, I donât take a lot just to take the edge off it. It doesnât completely change the person simply help them to be more at ease. It helps them to deal with their emotions.â She explained as she ran a hand through her hair. It was short and yet from the glimpse she had in the mirror it was stylish. âI wouldnât if it scares you. I wouldnât consciously push my powers on anyone. I hope you are not afraid of me. I donât mean to imply i would steal your emotions and change you.â She said worriedly as she looked over at her, she offered a comforting smile. âI canât say i hate it but I donât know if i like it either. A lot of things are different.â She wrinkled her nose, âI donât think they will think differently of you. Youâre body is the only thing that has changed.â

Amanda noticed the other was very curious about her profession. She couldn't tell if it made her feel uncomfortable or amused. "I like to think it helps them. I take some of their emotions and give them positive ones. Part of my Empathy powers. I know in the end it's up to the patient to help themselves as I'm more of a boost for them." She said as she had not really been a real doctor until now, being an intern she studied and helped the actual psychologist and therapists. She observed and helped in secret but sometimes even she couldn't always help. She gave a smile, "I think it would be quite funny. I hope we aren't stuck in this form forever." She said chewing on her lip at the thought of being stuck as a man.

Amanda chuckled, it was deep and husky. âI think I should do that. Iâm sure my help will be useful.â She said as she winked at the other, she thought for a moment on how to answer her. âI evaluate and study behaviors and mental processes. I help others to deal with their emotions and behaviors, itâs easier since my mental powers comes in handy as well. It helps me to understand otherâs emotions better.â She said as she looked over at the lady. âI also have the power to see into the future. That comes and goes, so i canât really just tell someone their future as it happens at odd times.â She said with a shrug, âPurple shaggy hair? hm, I donât know if i ever met you in your other body. Oh me? well i had brown hair, mostly up in a bun and I am on the short side I suppose. I donât really know how else to describe myself.â

âI would if they wanted the help.â She said with a shrug, she should offer her assistance during sessions with other therapists. âIâm a Psychologist.â She said as she noticed the way the other smoothly rejected her arm. She had to smile at it as she followed after the other, easily keeping up with the other. âYou know, i may have seen you but since you are in this form I donât know what your male body looks like.âÂ

She shrugged her shoulders, âI donât have patients yet, so I want to help any patients i come across or at least help other staff members.â She said as she remembered the rude introduction to a security guard. She didnât want to be dead weight. She smiled, âOf course, I think I remember the way to the cafeteria. Shall we?â She said as she offered her arm to the other, âWouldnât want you to fall asleep in such an open place.â

Amanda smiled, she folded her arms over her chest and felt it weird that there wasnât anything there. âNice to meet you, Zeke. Normally i would be off trying to make myself useful but Iâm in no real hurry.â She said as she watched the other lean against the wall. âWould you like to go and get some tea or coffee with me? You seem a bit sleepy.â

It didnât take a genius to know the other wasnât exactly comfortable around her. She sighed softly, âI suppose you are right. Iâm Dr. Amanda Wilkins, which sounds weird now with this body i have.â She said with a laugh even that sound bizarre to her. She ran a hand over her hair and looked at the lady. âI donât suppose you are waiting for someone? perhaps you would like me to leave you be?âÂ

Amanda could sense the otherâs discomfort with her touch. Good to know her powers still worked. âOh sorry, I didnât mean to touch without your permission.â She said with a sheepish smile, she rubbed a hand over her face and cringed at the feel of stubble on her face. âWell, I suppose i shouldnât be. Itâs just weird to wake up with a manâs body. From the feel of it, iâm pretty fit as well and well...â She blushed as she adjusted her stance. She didnât want to say she felt well endowed but then she hasnât exactly...She cut herself off and smiled. âThank you, I think. I suppose I canât complain.âÂ

Amanda was still in shock as she looked down at herself. Her hands patting at her body before looking back at the other. âYes, iâm fine. You sure youâre okay?â She asked as she helped to dust the lady off, she blinked at her own voice. âI donât know whatâs going on but...but iâm a man.â She said with a shocked look, âIâm not a man though. Iâm a woman but....â She gestured to herself. She took a deep breath to calm herself, there had to be a reason for this and she shouldnât freak out too much. âSorry, itâs a shock waking up in another body.â

She woke up late. It was so unlike her to wake up so late. She pushed back the covers and yawned widely. She must have slept so good last night, to have slept so long. She climbed out of bed, thinking for a moment how weird her body was feeling, headed for the kitchen area. She grabbed a glass of water and was heading back to the bedroom. She walked past a mirror and instantly turned back to it. The hell?! She thought as she stared into it. What she saw was blowing her mind. A man was staring back at her, what in the world? She dropped her glass and headed out of the room. She was horrified that she was in another body. She headed out of her room and wasnât looking where she was going and slammed into somebody. Normally, she would have fallen over but this only made her take a few steps back. âI-Iâm so sorry. Are you okay?â Even her voice was deep and manly.Â

Amanda sighed softly, it was true. She could try and heal all i wanted but truly healing someone meant erasing who they were and she didnât want that. âIf only it was so easy to heal someoneâs pain and suffering. I really would like to be able to do that. But I suppose my powers canât do that, only the person who is suffering can do it.â She said with a sad look, the fact she could see into otherâs minds and even their hearts was hard enough. She nodded as they turned down the hallway. âThis place is large. I wonder how long it takes people to learn the place.â
