I would be doing better if I knew you were taking care of yourself. Have you not been receiving the food my servants bring you? You should be eating three meals a day.

See that you do. I've been fine, a little tired, I'm guilty of too many late nights as well. Things have been rather busy around the lab with all the viruses going around, and 4 of my assistants have come down with something. I'm taking the night off to catch up with a friend though.

Y’know, it was funny, one day I stopped a kid from selling drugs and the next day, when I was substituting for an English teacher at Gotham high, I saw the same kid. We had a pretty long talk and I think I managed to help him out.

Talia has an expression you've seen very rarely of uncontrolled anger before she takes a long, deep breath and relaxes. "Okay," her voice is strained, "I'm putting you on bedrest." She decides. Once she's done with the cast, she goes about fussing over the position of the pillows behind you and keeping your leg elevated.

“Bedrest”??? Oh nooo mom that’s not possible. I’m meeting Dick and Dami for dinner tonight. You can’t do this

"Well I guess you should have thought of that before you walked 5 and a half miles on broken leg." She tells him primly. "You will just have to relocate your dinner plans here. It will be nice to see Damian again, he's been so busy with school." She remarks. "I will even allow Richard to visit." She adds through gritted teeth.

"You're very welcome for making sure that you don't permanently damage your body with your poor self care." She deadpans. "Now what kind of tea would you like, I'd like you to actually get some rest so I'm limiting your caffeine."

She methodically prepares Jason's tea the way he preferred it when tea was his drink of choice, when he was focused more on recovering for the strenuous training ahead than the next mission-job-task to lose himself in. She keeps half an ear out for any sneaky escape attempts, and hums quietly to herself.

*jason waits until you leave the room before trying to escape (he’s the son of Batman he’s stubborn). He limps over to the window and throws it open and starts to climb out*

"Get off your broken leg and sit back down!" Talia demands without bothering to look up from her task. "Don't make me chase after you, particularly when you are at a disadvantage." She adds evenly. She carefully arranges the tea and cookies onto one of her prettier platters, confident in her ability to take her time. She would drag Jason back by his ear if she had to, but she really would prefer if he stayed of hid own volition. She's not as young as she once was, after all.

damn your good. *jason lays back on the couch mumbling something about being treated like a little kid* how long do I have to stay here?

Talia comes back with her tray in hand, carefully setting up the little tea set in front of him. "Until I know you won't run off and grind your broken bones to a fine dust, dear." She says airily.

There's a small frown on her face. "I do wish you'd start telling me before you come over. I haven't had time to restock for guests. All I have are almond and peanut butter cookies." She clicks her tongue.

that’s fine. Peanut butter cookies are great. Just as long as there’s no strawberries, I’m fine

"Oh I know dear, it's in your medical files." Talia hums. "I must go get ready for my outing tonight, so to ensure that you remain where you're supposed to be, I've sent for someone to watch over you in my absence." Talia informs him, absently fluffing his pillows and fussing with the blankets.

Talia arrives early, hair neatly braided, her sensible heels clicking on the dark wood floors. The restaurant is an upscale place, perhaps not as luxurious as she prefers, but more intimate. The pink of her dress is a bright spot of color in nestled in with the moody earth tones that surround her, and she's easily spotted despite her spot in the very back corner.

She waits. And waits some more. And considers calling Nathalie to check on her when the pale woman makes her dramatic entrance.

The door of the restaurant swings open and Natalia glances around before her eyes catch on Talia. She glides over, the hem of her dress almost floating.

She smiles as she slides into the seat across from Talia. “Hello, Miss Al Ghul.”

"Miss Knight," She greets, "a pleasure to meet you in person." She lifts her tea cup to her lips, something that smells like jasmine and honey. "I've heard a lot about you." She adds, hiding her grin behind her cup.

“All good things I hope.” Natalia tilts her head slightly, observing the other woman. There’s a spark of amusement in her eyes.

"Well, you're certainly as lovely as I was told." Talia flattered. She sets her cup down, resting her cheek in her palm. "You wished to speak on the matter of Bruce?"

"Yes, I do." Natalia sighs, crossing her legs as she replies, "I've been told you still have some fondness for the man and I know he is the father of your child, but what he has done to Jason is unacceptable."

She sits up straighter, "I do not want to make an enemy of you, but something needs to be done."

"I did," Talia agrees bitterly, "but things have changed. Perhaps especially because of my sons I no longer harbor the love that I once did." She sighs.

"You will have no enemy in me, miss Knight." She promises. "In fact, I'd like form an alliance. I assume you're going after Batman, so I figure I should go after Bruce. I hear he's not all that involved with WE anyway." She proposes, her grin back with a sharpness that makes her lipstick resemble blood.

Natalia smile back. "If we are to be allies in this, call me Natalia."

She methodically prepares Jason's tea the way he preferred it when tea was his drink of choice, when he was focused more on recovering for the strenuous training ahead than the next mission-job-task to lose himself in. She keeps half an ear out for any sneaky escape attempts, and hums quietly to herself.
