day trip to chicago and dodie! i didn’t have much from actually seeing dodie so i used a couple things i’ve held onto from previous times. it’s fun to look back on bc the 2016 show was super small! i would guess not many more people than the amount there for vip this time! plus the difference in ticket prices rip

Dodie is just such a breath of fresh air musically because with every release, you can really see just how much of a music nerd she really is. Moral of the story is more band kids need to make music NOW

the thing about dodie's music that always has a vice grip on me is how alive it sounds. it's like the instrumental is living and breathing and feeling all that she is trying to convey, less like a performance and more like an echo of what she is feeling and no I don't know how to explain it in a less metaphorical way
