How To Train Your Dragon (2010)

dragon in the title = automatic points. has a cheeky dragon flying in amongst the studio titles so fantastic start. has a toothless. there are many dragons throughout the film and different species all with their own personalities which are explored. continues to have a toothless. for the majority of the subplot however dragons are shown in a negative light - no one's got time for that kind of discrimination. toothless sasses hiccup cos he's the best. toothless also shows astrid how amazing flying is in one of the most beautifully scored sequences in animation. stoick goes off on a dragon hunt cos he's ignorant. toothless saves his damsel in distress from the resulting inferno caused by an epic fight between the biggest dragon and the fastest dragon in the film. overarching theme of how great dragons are and resolves in more dragons living peacefully: 8/10
