one thing i’ve noticed i like about posting my art online myself vs. submitting it to a gallery is that i can go through the notes on things and look through the blogs of whoever liked/reblogged them and get a real sense of who they are and try to figure out what drew them to my stuff that i just can’t actually get from what little conversation i can have with people in person

i mean, i know some one’s gonna try to argue with me on that someday because “the internet is destroying society!!!!1!” or whatever the fuck, but there’s a real difference in what you can find out about people through like 2 minutes of polite conversation vs. scrolling their blog for like 10-20 minutes. and personally? im way more open online than i am in person.
