“I’m not gonna ignore you, though.” Dean said. “I can tell that you weren’t in the best kind of home before. I’m not gonna be like that,” he shook his head. “‘sides. I’m not gonna get a cat because I’m allergic to them, thank you very much.” Dean looked up at the ceiling and let out a deep sigh. “I’ve looked at the others and none caught my attention besides you.”

I can tell that you weren’t in the best kind of home before, what bullshit. Dean stuffed himself back into his corner, snorting. “Then try another shelter. I’d rather chew my own balls off than go home with you.” He paused, waiting for the other to go. He had to admit, he was a little curious as to what man looked like at least. He smelled and sounded so oddly familiar, and it made him wonder if maybe he might be able to at least tolerate the man if it meant getting out of the shelter. Still, it wouldn’t be worth it, it never was. Dean had been taken home by too many idiots and returned to the shelter the very next day by every single one of them. No way was he going through that again. “Why are you still here? Go!”

Dean was living in his own now and, to say the least, it was really lonely. Sam had gone back to college so dean was stuck by himself in the bunker. The place was too big to be by himself.

He had thought about adopting a pet, mainly an Omega since he was an Alpha, since he hadn’t claimed or knotted anyone Omega in years. Dean drove down to a pretty big pet store that were selling hybrids and went inside, looking around until he heard a gruff voice. “What’re you talking about?” he smiled gently. “I just did.”

Dean growled, huddling tighter into his corner. “Yeah yeah, real hallmark moment here- I reject you, you ignore me, we skip off into the sunset singing kumbaya my lord, all just perfect. Now get lost! Go pick up one of the cats, they’re more likely to be a good bitch for you.” He cautiously crouched near the crack under the door, sniffing. Ugh. Alpha. Very very alpah-y, ah, alpha. “Read the damn chart next to my door- ‘Male, Omega, likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, and aggressive.’ Move along, pal.”
