Tavros loves exploring- well moving in general. While that might sound more like Aradiaās thing there's a reason they were on a team together. He just isn't as gum show as other explorers, preffering to take his time to look at things closer while reacting in character. So heād definitely take you out with him to the woods. Your hands locked together as Tavros tells you about the local fauna. It would be sweet if the descriptions of the little critters Tavros gave weren't so brutal like everything is on alternia. Though heād do his best to sugarcoat those parts or outright not mentioning it unless you tried touching said animal.Ā
If you two encounter a animal/ lusus Tavros deems as safe or easily mind controlled than there's a huge chance heāll use his telepathy to bring the animal forward, pacifying it enough so you could pet it. You can choose not to but Tavros would get sad before letting go of the animals mindĀ Ā
If you prefer to stay inside though than Tavros is fine with that too. Heād just suggest playing some rounds of fedus spawn- before hesitating because humans don't have fedus spawn and the base game is a little dangerous to those without animal telepathy.Ā
Still heād teach with you a crooked smile on his face, leaning into your space to show you how the ovipositioner worked. Stumbling over his words- while Tavros does have a good understanding of fedus spawn he would definitely have to pause to explain some terminology or get derailed. He can't help it, he's excited to show his partner something he's interested it. (Considering most of his friends tease him for his interest)
Let's you take charge most of the time though. Tavros would look to you for date planning, how fast the relationship goes- not out of any disinterest but because heād doubt his aptitude for ārelationship stuffā
Tavros is the type of boyfriend to need constant reassurance from you that's he's doing this right or that you still love him even if heās a bit dense sometimes when it comes to your ācultureā ( As in things like- having perants, monogamy being normal, murder not being normal- things like that )Ā

The others would tease Tavros for dating a human- (ehem Vriska) for ā not being strong enough to date his own species ā but than Tavros would try to defend you. Saying that your nicer and kinder than any troll he knows- so in a way he doesn't care if you lack horns ( which still kinda freaks him out ) and bleed cherry red ( he's slightly less freaked out about that. I mean bright red and rust red look pretty similar? So if he imagines it your blood almost looks rust! )Ā
Tavros finds Earth's fauna super cute! Especially with all the bright colours they come in. While the amazement would wear off after a while heād still give a little gasp each time you show him an animal video. Any animal video in particular but he likes the ones where the animal does tricks, heād be surprised that none of the animals are mind controlled in them before trying to train his fedus spawn creatures in the same manner.Ā
He has definitely tried to seranade you with one his āsick firesā. Actually that's how he confessed to you, through slam poetry. You two were in the woods as usual in a treetop Tavros found, telling you he wanted to show you something before he began rapping his heart out. It wasn't a very good song but it was sincere and sweet.Ā
Considering you two are together now Tavros now writes love poems ( more like rap? )Ā about you before sharing them. He's always eager to show them to you once he's done polishing it ( with Aradia's help ofcourse. Even if she's less than enthusiastic )Ā
Tavros would love Disneyland, and would love you even more if you took him there. COME ON, YOUR TELLING ME THE GUY WHO LOVES FAIRIES DOESNT WANT TO GO TO DISNEYLAND? heād be hesitant at first because theme parks are usually associated with clowns and subjuggalators in Alternia but once he visits the place all that apphrension is GONE.
Heād especially like 'Meet the fairies' at magic kingdom. Actually he might like it a bit too much ( He has sexy fairies posters in his room. I suspect he likes them in a slightly less platonic sense ) or get slightly disappointed that they aren't real fairies before understanding it's just roleplay and enjoying it again. Though he isn't a wriggler anymore he still has fun observing ( He wouldn't directly interact with the actors but his eyes would sparkle, mostly out of nervousness )
He absolutely melts when your nails scratch against the keratin. Especially at the base of his horns where the skull and protrusion meet, heād lean into your hand and give a gentle purr as you card your hands through his hair before going back to scritching his horns, gradually going to the sharp points. Look considering has big ass horns I doubt Tavros has the time nor the arm span to properly take care of them so having you do it ( even if you two aren't moirales ) would be greatly appreciated.Ā
Unluckily enough each time you and Tavros go out in more populated areaās stray cats seem to flock to him. for some reason Earth cats seem to really like him. It causes Tavros great distress.
On the topic of animals, if you have pets than expect Tavros to absolutely adore them- well if said pets are anything but cats. I don't think I need to say how allergic he is to them. Still, even if you do have cats Tavros will tolerate another sneezing session if it means hanging out with you
Enjoys daydreaming with you about the future. Tavros never imagined he'd have much of a future- especially after being paralyzed from the waist down but after getting his robot legs and meeting you he feels... Lighter, like he isn't tied down anymore. So while he may not be becoming a caval reaper anytime soon he still wants to imagine life with you. Despite your differing cultures outlook on what to do for the rest of your life
Low-key, Tavros would enjoy hearing about what humans do with their life. It sounds so much nicer than becoming Cannon fodder for the empress. Plus deep down Tavros knew he wasn't going to make it into the caval reapers but it was nice to imagine a life where he wasn't so... Him. Where he actually accomplished something in his life, but now he sees that he doesn't need to become another weapon for the empire to make a difference- to become something of worth. Simply being with you has made him realize that
Ha... It's been 9-10 days. I feel like I've been apologizing in every post but damn. Honestly I read some Tavros x Reader fics ( yes including the centaur one, GODAMNIT why did they stop before EQUIUS AAA ) so if they're any similarities- woops.
