oh and honorable mention to these guys...
visited a friend of a friend this week
@sparrow-in-the-field
Suh-mooooch😘
finally got back on the character sheet grind-
10 & 12 👍🏻
(from this ask game)
10. Favorite fandom moment
Okay I have two, both from the boys and the boat fandom. The first is when I was writing The Cormorant (a story where people have bird familiars), I hadn't revealed Don's yet, and @dogwooddiaries was messaging me her guesses, when she just went "OMG IS IT A HUMMINGBIRD??" with a explanation of why it could be, and I had to poker face and be like "hmm interesting thought!". Then a few days later I posted the chapter with the reveal that it was, in fact, a hummingbird :D (also just in general, writing The Cormorant was such a special fandom experience for me, everyone was so invested in the story and it meant so much to me, I will cry about it)
I also have to shout out the times that @seasidesandstarscapes hosted streaming parties for our tiny fandom to watch tbitb or related movies together. Those were always so fun. Honestly salix was a huge part of why that fandom thrived and had such a great community, they're such a wonderful person.
12. Favorite ship out of all your fandoms?
See, when I wrote the post I said to myself "Don't add this question, you don't even know your own answer!" lolol but I put it anyway.
I guess if I had to choose, probably coxstroke (Don/Bobby from the boys in the boat). Winteragent (Bucky/John) has had a pretty big choke hold on me the last year though, so I'd say they're a close second.
CHUCK AND ROGER MY BELOVEDS BREAKING OUT THEIR MODERN AU CHARACTER DESIGNS
Lyrics from “This Song” by Conan Gray. I see them in my head whenever it plays KANSKSLAKALANDSK CHURO MY BABIES
nsfw prompts
#8 with don/chuck, maybe as chuck continues his preview for bobby (it's your fault I can't stop thinking about this/them)
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Here you go!! I was planning to write more about them anyway since I, too, can't stop thinking about it, but this was such a good prompt for them :D
Day 8-ish (I’m so behind lol you can tell I finished my backlog)
HNY!! <3
thinking about my new year fic I wrote last new year's which I am actually quite fond of
Day 5!
The scale of baby hummingbirds vs a human hand
The inside of the nest is white because they're so tiny they line them with spiderwebs!
ok. 🥺🥺🥺
@todaysbird
you may also notice that the babies have tiny little nubbin beaks! they hatch like that so they fit in the eggs- the beak doesn't actually grow in for another week or so.
Day 3! I drew this before the KDH au lol
(We’re all so in sync as a fandom lol why did so many of us do Chuck, Johnny and Bobby for the first few days)
Day 4!
Does anyone know where Jim being into Shakespeare came from??
As some of you may know, it's an annual tradition for my father in law's birthday that we go see a movie of his choosing, which is usually something I know nothing about and it's always a shot in the dark how I'll feel about the movie.
We saw Hamnet this year. We just got back. And y'all. It fucked me up. It was a beautiful fucking movie.
also shout out to Max Richter's score for contributing to me crying at the last scene
if I'd written/composed "On the Nature of Daylight" I, too, would use it at the emotional crux of films every chance I was given
Please note how tall that podium is in proportion to Bobby's legs; it's basically what inspired today's contribution to the 12 days of tbitb challenge
Also what the hell is going on with Bobby's (and Don's I think?) hair here? It's like... styled? plastered? It doesn't look like any other style I think I've seen on them.
Merry TBITBmas hosted by @arokel !!! I managed to at least get something done for today so…enjoy?

Bobby has long accepted his size.
He’s not going to lie and say jokes no longer get to him. Some days, it takes his all to not lash out, he has to bite his tongue, clench his fists.
But when his friends take him by the hand, when Captain Jim or his stroke, Don, want to show him something, Bobby loves how small his hand feels in theirs. He cherishes when Joe squeezes his fingers, how Chuck grips tight, intent on never letting go.
For his boys, he’s more than happy to stay small, safe and secure in their hold.
Day 2!
