Btw, I think that Levi is definitely in the clear now. He has almost died 2 times now. I feel like he may survive.

Now while I did say the same thing about Ace, I still think that Levi dying is very unlikely. That's just my thoughts though, feel free to share yours :)

There is definitely the question of who voted for Teruko. I don't think Ace did. If Ace was gonna vote anyone, it wouldn't have been Teruko. He would've voted Nico or Levi, but not Teruko. I'm pretty certain he voted himself.

So who did it?

My first thought is David. Why the hell wouldn't he. He doesn't care about the trial and probably hates Teruko's guts enough to vote her over Ace.

You could possibly reason that Levi might've voted Teruko cause I truly think he actually cares about Ace. ASPD (if that's what Levi has, Ik the Dev doesn't like to diagnose their characters) doesn't fully devoid you of emotion or feeling, you would just feel things differently (I'm not and expert, but this is what I'm pretty sure is the case. If I'm wrong please tell me!!). However even if you make this argument, his sacrifice for Teruko instantly proves this wrong. Why would he save someone he just VOTED FOR IN THE KILLIG GAME.

So between the real 2 options, David is most likely the one who voted Teruko. If you have any argument against this, or a different theory, let me know in the comments! I'm curious to hear what everyone else is thinking!!

Taking an Ace break cause I just can't think about him anymore for rn (outside of the essay).

I want to see killer Rose SO BAD.

Like you wouldn't expect that from her but ever since her Free Time Event with Nico it's been plauging my mind.

I love Rose and really want her to survive ofc, but I think it would be nice to see her snap or and force herself to forget about it. It would be KINDA similar to Gonta for the forgetting part but imagine with me:

Rose Lacroix murdering someone. After she does it, she cannot believe herself. Because of how shocked and distressed she is, she forcibly forgets the murder. Once the investigation and trial happens, she helps everyone out, but then when everyone realizes it her, she is confused. She didn't do it right? But she is the only one who fits so why is she lying? Well turns out she isn't lying, and she genuinely doesn't remember doing it, even though it's the only thing that fits. No one else could've done it. It has to be Rose. They vote for her. Once confirmed, Rose wracks her brain. She can't believe it. And she still can't remember. This leads to an emotional breakdown. Everyone feels horrible for her. She's executed. Sad.

Obviously my idea is just kinda you know, not the best, but I would love to see it. I don't think she will kill, but I might write a fanfic for it. Whole fake trial of what I at least think would be a super cool murder and culprit.

Just a thought.

Also, side note, Rose is so pretty I wanna wife her up 😠💖💖💖

I usually write fun essays about media I like for my own entertainment and to get my thoughts and feelings straight. However, I've never been inclined to write on for a character before.

I'm really thinking about writing and essay about Ace for funsies :)

He's so interesting and I want to analyze him...

Wait the explanations for Ace's wounds makes a lot of sense and ties up a loose end I was worried about.

In the recap of Nico's attempted murder on Ace, Teruko said that Nico intented to garrote Ace with the wire. In the cg, Nico's wire was not covered in blood yet, and in the BDA, it was. I was confused cause ei thought something was up.

But Ace giving himself the winds in panic makes so much more sense, cause Nico hadn't don't anything outside of the drop hanging yet. Ace gave himself his own wounds!

It's super cool.

Anyway, my two hopes for Ace's execution are either they do a successful drop hanging that actually kills Ace, or (and more likely) Ace gets Drawn and Quartered (cause getting pulled apart limb by limb by horses, Ace's fear, would be amazing).

I might sound a bit blunt, but...

CH2 Spoilers obviously...

People keep saying there will be some twist since it feels like something is missing, but…Teruko said it herself. They can't look into every single detail.

Does it hurt? Of course it does. But people can't live in denial forever. Ace had an argument armament. He confessed. He had a breakdown. There was a closing argument. The trial is closed. It's all been done.

And saying this chapter is "poorly written" all because of this...is not a good way to put it. People don't always get the happy ending they want. Things happen for a reason. And Ace is unfortunately an example of that.

I know how many of his fans don't want it to be him. I get that. But also, it shows that there is realism within this scenario. Not every character will get the development people want them to. Because that's how reality works sometimes. And sadly, we can't change the outcome, no matter what.

I honestly feel like this is a very good end for Ace's arc.

Ofc I as much as anyone else who liked him (even if a little) wanted to see him grow.

Honestly initially I didn't like him too, and wanted him to die.

But this is such a an impactful death. Usually chapter 2 is my least favorite cause the first death hits hard cause it's the first and then the 3rd on hits hard cause it's more favs, the characters grow on you, and the motives get more desperate. But this time, chapter 2 was written to be such an impactful and drama filled chapter.

Again, I am sad to. I never thought I would ever become an Ace defender, and while I think that killing someone is a bit far, I can understand and see exactly why he did it. The signs were there from the beginning of the chapter.

I think that this is as satisfying as Ace's character can get. I'd rather not drag on his arc unnecessarily and it makes him a waste of a slot in the potential survivors list.

This is also (as I said in my previous post) the first time I cried for a killer. Ace had such a well written character, that even tho he did something so horribly wrong, I still feel bad for him. I feel almost like J at the end of the episode.

The DRDT Dev is TRUELY so talented cause no other fangame (and even the mainline series itself) has better writing than this. Everything is intentional and wonderful and it makes way for great twists, fabulous depth filled characters, and awesome episodes to watch.

Dispite being sad, I'm satisfied.

Thank you for changing my mind aboit you Ace Markey. Hope that your execution is super brutal so you are more tragic than you already are. (I have 2 bets on what his execution will be, let me know if I should post it)

I also would like to say, along with my last post, because this episode made me cry so hard means that this writing is top tier. The writing for DRDT has been phenomenal this whole time and dispite how I feel about the culprit, I still think this was brilliantly written for both the game and the character. This is something that I'm gonna hold on to, cause I TRUELY pity the killer. And that is something I have never once said before.
