I love your four armed girlie, I got to know how you made it

This body is based on Option parts set 6 and 7. The second pair of arm socket is cut and glued with sprue goo. Then I cut off the side of body part, and shaved off some plastic to avoid collision against the middle body (belly part).

This method requires irreversible process only on the upper body part (neck-arms-chest part). The second pair of arm joint limits movement of the upper body, but this is still very clean and straightforward way to do.

She’s definitely one of my favorite dolls! I love her vibe and aesthetic. From my perspective she gives off a very serene and dreamy vibe. I think that although dolls from this series tend to have quality control issues and difficulty posing I’m still incredibly happy with her. Sadly I’ve yet to give her an official name, but I’m sure I’ll think of one soon. Calling her Moonlight Sleep all the time feels so silly and strange😭 I also just adore the art from this series, it’s absolutely adorable! I wish they made merch with the art.

I cannot stress enough to people just getting into customs that you never really 100% know what you're doing with a kitbash. You're always always winging it when you jump into a project. The parts and pieces you're putting together change everytime. You just do it and hope for the best.

I see so many getting into customs be terrified because they feel like they don't know what they're doing. But like, it's okay to not know what you're doing. It is way harder to ruin a doll than you think. Anything you mess up can probably be fixed. I have absolutely destroyed dolls trying to customize them. It's part of the process to fuck around and find out.

Didn't technically need to paint his arms, since I'm gonna make him a shirt. I doubt this paint job will hold up (mtms are just hard to paint), and also just for stylistic reasons, but whatever.

Couldn't help myself and gambled with the Series 3 Hello Kitty Minis when I saw them at a Walmart. Love miniature stationery, got lucky with one that I really wanted (green!).

I thought the pinhole guide wasn't there but after rereading some stuff I got the wrapper back out of the trash and see that it's definitely got the mark as shown on meenyminimo. It's TINY and SO FAINT. Like I can literally not see it with my naked eyeballs I had to hold it under my magnifying lamp. So heads up. Really really scrutinize that wrapper if you're looking for a specific one. The dots are light light greyish like a pencil mark. And the area they're on is tiny.

Jan 13, 2018: Holes? Gaps? Cut the ears off your cat or wolf doll? Liquid Fusion is amazing at sealing up those tears in vinyl.

(I wasn't sure if I wanted to share this because it sounds so corny and a bit pretentious when I'm still learning years later. But maybe someone out there doesn't know that urethane adhesives are great for gluing and patching up vinyl.

It does yellow with time though, as I found out a couple of years ago looking over some WIPs. It shouldn't be an issue for scalps that are going to be covered in hair, but something to keep in mind if it's going to be applied somewhere visible.

Have had almost no dolly time lately:( This cabinet/jewelry box was a gift, I’m trying to figure out if it will make a good tiny dollhouse/display (it kind of fits my little 1/16th bjd). I’ve painted it but I’m not really getting any inspiring ideas for it?
