Ho smesso di contare le volte in cui, arrivata alla seconda riga, ho cancellato e riscritto tutto nuovamente. Cercavo un inizio ad effetto, qualcosa di poetico e vero allo stesso tempo, qualcosa di grandioso, ma agli occhi. Non ci sono riuscita. Poi ho capito, ricordando ciò che non avevo mai saputo: che per i grandi cuori che muoiono nel corpo ma che continuano a battere nel respiro della notte, non ci sono canoni o bellezze regolari, armonie esteriori, ma tuoni e temporali devastanti che portano ad illuminare un fiore, nascosto, di struggente bellezza.
