diagon  alley  is  home  to  many  ,  a  direct  connection  to  the  wizarding  world  ,  right  in  the  centre  of  london  ,  many  people  like  ANTONIN DOLOHOV  ,  spend  majority  of  their  time  in  the  busy  alley  ,  most  people  know  them  as  the  thirty - five  year  old  who  is  a  past  slytherin  graduate  ,  now  HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MYSTERIES  at  THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC  ,  i  think  the  role  suits  them  perfectly  as  i  think  they  are  CHARISMATIC  but  also  they  can  be RUTHLESS  ,  but  that's  just  my  opinion  .  (  ben barnes  )

born in novosibirsk, antonin is the second oldest child of aleksander dolohov and his first wife, natalya kuznetsova. she ended up passing away shortly after her youngest, antonin was born - just two years into her marriage with aleksander. it was deemed a tragedy, but still a natural cause of death. though natalya was known to be healthy and recovered well after childbirth, which caused some whispers and questions to arise. still, no one would dare question aleksander's words or accuse him of murder - at least, not to his face. he wasted no time remarrying - in fact, it took him no less than four months. this marriage lasted a good ten years before the couple ended up splitting up. aleksander would joke with his buddies that she'd "gotten too old and grumpy". the dolohovi were an ancient, noble pureblooded family and aleksander was looking to expand his horizons and influence. his third wife was from england - yet again another grand wedding, though this time the dolohovi ended up moving all the way to london. aleksander would claim it was for love, though everyone knew he wanted to escape because of tensions rising due to his beliefs on blood purity.
just in time for antonin's eleventh birthday. he wasn't adjusting well to the weather, the people, sudden changes. he'd grown up believing one day he'd go to durmstang and now he was buying supplies on diagon alley, preparing for hogwarts. antonin was furious and he'd make sure his father knew it. he was.. quite the wildcard during his hogwarts days. known as somewhat of a bully, antonin wanted to be the one in charge when it came to his peers - the control he lacked at home. it was usually his older sister that cleaned up his messes and tried to save him from their father's wrath - though that was antonin's very purpose, to make aleksander angry. sort of a rebel without a cause; but eventually it did become a lifestyle for antonin.
aleksander would never get what he wanted. when he arranged betrothals and engagements for antonin's sisters, they would end up.. disappearing. curious. while antonin describes his family as a huge pain in the ass, heâd do anything for his siblings.. even the annoying ones, heâd say. one of his sisters, mila, did end up marrying a man of her own choice, to aleksanderâs detest. when aleksander dragged antonin along to meetings, introducing him to important friends, antonin would do his best to give the worst impression imaginable, embarrassing himself and his father in the process. the punishments never worked, either - antonin had gotten too resistant and eventually, he'd learn how to fight back. at some point, most of their arguments would end in duels - stopped, before things got too ugly.
twelve years later and marriage number three came to an end as well. aleksander moved back to novosibirsk - the public opinion was shifting in favor of his own beliefs. that, and it was time for marriage number four. some of the dolohov kids followed him there, but antonin and some of his younger siblings didn't. heâd already established himself in london and was quite happy visiting his hometown twice a year - sometimes, less.
it took him several years of studying and working, but antonin ended up becoming an unspeakable. at the age of thirty-three he'd rise even higher, to the position of head of the department of mysteries. he'd always been ambitious - determined by greed, spite, hatred, desire - whatever it was, if antonin wanted something, he'd work hard for it. it was the perfect position to have the rest of the ministry stay out of his business too, while he fed his fellow death eaters information.
