New Beginnings :)

Just here to express my ideas and thoughts on random occasions about different topics without being judged :) I'm 19 years old and live in Cape Town, South Africa :) one of the most beautiful places in the world! I am clearly obssessed with James Dean, and the Franco brothers because they look like James Dean :) I love old films starring James Dean, Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando, etc :) <3 I'm currently in my first year of varisty, and I'm studying Psychology. It is super interesting, and I'm enjoying it. I love my family and friends, especially the friends who have become family to me <3 I love meeting new people and making new friends, so feel free to follow me and ask me anything you would like to know :)

In Your Prayers...

I would really like all of you to keep Corne Hale in all your prayers. He's a young 18 year old kid who innocently went out with friends last night and ended up being hit by a drunk guy, knocked his head on the pavement and now lays in ICU fighting for his life. So please keep him in your prayers and hope he recovers.

If you haven't read Torey Hayden's book Somebody Else's Kids, stop what you're doing and read it. Right this very second. Hayden is Mary Poppins and Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and my first grade teacher Mrs. Sloan all wrapped up in one and for kids with special needs, no less. She's briliant and kind and resilient and honest and funny and loving.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind growing up to be like her. Wouldn't mind one little bit.

I'm an avid reader and I'm currently interested in all of Torey Hayden's books. She's a psychologst who writes books based on the experiences she's had. I would recommend all her books to anyone studying psychology or anyone who is interested in this field.

Anyway, the book is called "Somebody Else's Kids" and there's an incident in the book that just erked me. A little boy who has autisim has to get stitches and the doctor doesnt give him any anesthetic because he says "those's" kinda people dont have any true feelings! How ridiculous is that! To think there are people out there who make these kinds of statements on topics they have no knowledge about!

Everyone has feelings, fact. I just can't believe there are people still like that in today's society when information is so easily accessible, yet they remain so ignorant about serious topics.

Dead bored at work doing a damn crossword puzzle, and I have the sudden urge to watch "Rebel Without a Cause" <3 definately going to bring the dvd to work tomorrow :) hope everyones enjoying their days so far :)
