as much as this deeply saddens me, there will no longer be any shows at 252 Lawrence St. I can't go into too much detail at this time, but a series of events took place recently that ultimately led me to my decision of shutting this down.

we are currently looking for places to move the shows we have book through to may and are looking for a new permanent address for dong island.

thank you all so so so so much for supporting this and me and everyone else involved. we love you all. long live the dong.

update!!: the power is back on in the house! we can never thank everyone enough for their generosity. we are extremely blessed that this many people believe in DI. some members of the house have fronted the money to LIPA but they’re still out about $700 so even if you can’t donate, share this if you can, or just come out to a show and hang out and be like “yo that sucks but i’m here having a great time” or whatever. sometimes the long island scene seems fucked up and stupid and problematic and all but people like you guys who support us make throwing shows and creating a space like this worthwhile. doing it yourself is great but doing it together is just as important. thank you all
