ok last thing but it was kinda nice how the show didnt put romance as it’s #1 priority. its not that once you’re in the right relationship you’ll be happy and ok with yourself, but you need to be ok with who you are. you need to realize that there was a time where you were alright, and you can always do that again. and once you do that, the world will open up to you in a million different ways. and with how romance-centered fandoms can be and push canon to be, i think that was a better way of handling being gay than assuming it just applies to the people you date + a few assholes. you know?
