Hey guys Giddy-Mun here! A lot of you new people may not know me all that well but today is a bittersweet day for me.

Today is my 1 year anniversary of being in DFD and RPing in general.

I know it should be a happy day but I've also come to the decision to but Gideon on an indefinite hiatus. I don't know when I'll be back, if I will be back at all.

That being said I'm pulling Giddy out of DFD. I had some great memories, and I mean really great memories. From the Masked Ball to Halloween and everything in between but I can't pull myself to get on Gideon anymore.

To Amy, Jude, Dee, Jackie, Jafar, Facilier, Marchy, and everyone I've had the pleasure of meeting and rping with you were the best partners anyone could ask for. We had some great times with both ic and ooc and I wouldn't change a thing. And especially to Becca and Gretchen, I will miss you terribly on this account.

I won't be gone forever, I still am active with Bambi and my other muse but the time has come to drop Giddy. I hope you all have a great time rping and I may see ya real soon.

Except for the eyebrow he raised, Jack’s face remained blank. “I admit, yes, there’s always room for improvement. However, I believe that if the town really needed more of me, they would not hesitate to tell me.”

Take it from me, you need a lot of improvement. I’ve seen the town and it needs work. A lot of it. *He lied through gritted teeth. If he was to help Oogie regain the crown he was read to take any need measures to do so.* Have you ever thought that maybe they haven’t told you because they’ve found some better to rule over them.

Now he was feeling strange, though mostly displeased and the slightest bit insulted. “Oh, really? And just who decided to take over, while I’m rightfully king and have done everything for my citizens?” He had one guess.

I think you and I both know who I’m speaking of. *He grinned from ear to ear.* The boggieman himself of course. Who else should rule over the land of fears and nightmares than the one who causes them?

His expression hardened, and he rounded on Gideon. “If I’m unfit to be king, then—” He stopped short, sighing internally and straightening up, still glaring down at Gideon. If Jack was really unfit to be king, then Oogie was hardly fit to bear the title of court jester. “Never mind. Let’s agree to disagree.” He disliked Oogie, but he would tell him to his face. No point in getting riled up in front of someone else.

Then what, hmm? Do you acknowledge the idea that maybe you aren’t all this town needs? *Gideon rolled his head towards the sky looking up at Jack.* I think that’s the only thing we can agree on right now. *Gideon found it amusing to annoy Jack. He wanted to continue doing so but feared if he had reached Jack’s boiling point, and it was anything like Oogie’s, he could be in trouble.*

“I may not be everything the town needs, but I’m certainly the lesser of two evils.” And he did a damn better job than Oogie ever would. Jack didn’t even realize how tightly he curled his hands into fists.

“Regardless of what you think, I believe this discussion is over.” He added firmly. He turned on his heel and did everything he could to remain calm, but on the inside he had the rage to level a small town. Or small… whatever Gideon was.

Who, calm down there bone daddy. Last time I remember what I was told was that you left for periods of time and Oogie was the one who stayed behind in the town. Like a rightful ruler would do. The rightful ruler. It's better now to accept it and move on. *Gideon leaned on his cane watching Jack turn away.* Oogies right! *He called out to him.* You are a coward!

“Gideon. It’s no use hiding it. I remember everythin’, got my memories back recently. So, ya could say I’m both Oliver and Oogie at once.” he said with a shrug of his shoulders, forgetting all else but the conversation.

*Gideon took in a deep breathe before taking a gulp of alcohol.* F-fine. Th-that sounds great for you. So..everyth-thing th-then? You must be in pain.

Oogie sighed and nodded his head. “Everythin’. The day my mother died, day I left to go fight in the war, even the day I died. It’s…kinda hard to comprehend it all, but I’m gettin’ there.”

Th-that's why I choose not to r-remember. Who knows what I did before I forgot. Who I kn-knew and what I knew. If you don't mind m-m opinion, which you m-most likely would but hey what are you gonna do ab-bout it, you made a mistake in wanting to know your past.

“Yeah, well…I’m on the verge of being completely smashed.” he said waving a hand dismissively. Oogie took the bottle of alcohol on the side and poured him a glass. “So, my judgement is probably way off.”

Sm-smashed? How come? H-Halloween Town being normal now a days. *He challenged the boogieman. Being gone for so long he hadn’t been caught up in the latest gossip about the town in anyway.* And y-you think alcohol is g-going to help with that?

“Helps forget the stuff ya don’t wanna remember” he said, raising a glass to Gideon before downing it in one, making a face at the bitter taste that followed.

Some things are m-meant to be f-forgotten. *He didn’t know what he had forgotten, years of being drowned in alcohol helped him in that way, and he didn’t want to remember. Gideon peered out of the corner of his eye and saw the look of disgust on Oogie’s face.* You’ll g-get used to it. *He spoke before taking another sip of his drink.*

He looked at him and smirked. “113 years without alcohol - and it was pretty crap back in the 20’s, believe you me…” He went to bring the glass to his lips before a frown crossed his brow. “I met you…” he muttered, turning to look at him. “I met you in the past.”

*The cat sighed crossing his eyes behind his eyelids.* What are you hinting towards? That i wasn’t raised right? Like a typical house cat? I never wanted an owner. I didn’t need one. I don’t need anyone. I’m just fine, and I have been for my entire life. *Gideon let his temper get to the best of him before realizing what Duchess had added.*

Ohh. *He spoke calmly trying to avoid the situation that had just taken place.* I apologize madame for my outburst. It wasn’t very…courteous of me to say the least.

Meet your friends? You mean like actually talk to them? *He had just become acquainted with the duchess and she was already wanting to introduce him to her friends. Her friends? Gideon was astounded and slightly caught off guard by the offer.* I-I..I would feel honored. Music? What kind?

Duchess gaped, unable to find the words to defend herself. She had accidentally offended him and didn’t know how to deal with the situation. She snapped her jaws closed when he changed gears and apologized. An uneasy smile appeared on her face as if she suspected that he might have another outburst. “Oh that’s quite alright,” she said, looking down.

Her eyes flitted upwards again when asked about the music. “Oh, they play jazz music,” she explained. “It’s not quite the classical style I was used to, but it sure is swingin’.” A little self conscious laugh escaped. The word Thomas had first used to describe jazz still didn’t sound quite right coming from her mouth, but there was no other word she could find to describe it. “Have you heard of jazz?” she asked.

*Gideon looked over his shoulder cautiously and saw the expression in Duchess's face change. He never cared, excluding a minor few, about people's feelings, especially not about a complete stranger's one. He knew too well that keeping up a good con was to trick the victim into believing that they mattered and that he was there to help them but this time was different. The victim was different. Gideon felt connected to her in a way aside from being felines. He didn't know how or why he felt the way he did but Duchess, she was a special one.*

*Giddy bit his bottom lip holding back a chuckle hearing Duchess' thick accent speak the word swingin'.* Jazz? yeah I've heard of it before.Not my preferable choice of music to listen too but it's not as bad as other styles I've heard.

Its not that bad if you watch it. It mocks children shows saying how when they tell kids to be creative it's controlling their minds and making them crazy.
