Her astonishment at his coming - at his coming to Netherfield, to Longbourn, and voluntarily seeking her again, was almost equal to what she had known on first witnessing his altered behaviour in Derbyshire.
The colour which had been driven from her face, returned for half a minute with an additional glow, and a smile of delight added lustre to her eyes, as she thought for that space of time that his affection and wishes must still be unshaken. But she would not be secure.
“Let me first see how he behaves,” said she; “it will then be early enough for expectation.”
St. Petersburg, Russia
“…My education was living life — but living life included reading books, going to the cinema, sometimes twice a day, going to bed early, so I could get up and continue writing the next day, looking out the window, and watching life happen. All this enabled me to tell stories.”
Pedro Almodóvar reflects on his life as an artist during an on-stage conversation with Raj Roy, MoMA’s Celeste Bartos Chief Curator of Film. Our film retrospective, Pedro Almodóvar, runs through December 17.

why do nice girls always go for the assholes i dont even like pegging
No. Just. NO. I am so sick of this bullshit stereotype being both perpetuated AND played out. No.
Saying nice girls go with the assholes is the biggest stereotype in relationships of all time
We don’t go with assholes, we go with the people who give us attention at the right time and ignore us at the right time and it just so happens to be the people who don’t care about us and it’s stupid a/f
This post represents tumblr
Okay but like that’s the most true stereotype ever… so many dumb nice girls date douchebags lmao
ARE YOU SERIOUS
The problem is not that nice girls date assholes, it’s that nice girls *knowingly* date assholes and then have the nerve to complain and ask “why can’t I find a nice guy?”
And I will now stop before this becomes a rant.
You dont get this post do you? Lol
The comments are priceless.
So many people being clueless.
Douchebags always date douchebags. The kicker is douchebags have 0 self-awareness that they are douchebags so in turn they complain that “they can never find a nice guy/sane girl.”
Holy fuck man not you too
So many non-comprehending mother fuckers
Pure comedy gold.
Oh. My. Fucking. God.
This post is a perfect example of what people mean when we talk about how nobody on this godforsaken website has any fucking reading comprehension skills
This is a good post.

It’s so exciting to observe how trust between Jane and Lisbon builds as the story unfolds. And not only because they let each other in on major things that worry or torture them, or that they believe in, it’s because of minor things too. Sharing them is part of their natural attraction towards each other from the very beginning, the comfort they feel in each other’s company, which manifests itself in a variety of ways and quite often unconsciously. It’s in the ease with which they can relax around each other, and share a moment of silence. It’s in how Lisbon prays in Jane’s presence or sleeps as he drives the car.
Later on, it’s also in how Jane lets his tears be seen by Lisbon because his fears are suffocating him, and in how Lisbon allows herself a moment of weakness (even if partly caused by raging hormones) thinking that her long-waited-for wedding might go the way she doesn’t want it to. It’s beautiful and it’s touching, how they open up to each other, let each other see something very personal, their reactions to things, and their frailties.
Beyond the Edge
“Beyond the Edge” is Atelier Monolit’s proposal for an international architecture competition – a Site Landmark located in Sagres, Algarve, Portugal.
The site landmark is meant to mark the wilderness and the boundlessness of the surroundings but should also operate as an instrument for enhancing one’s senses and setting a strong connection with nature. It essentially represents a frame for human existence and experience, shaped as a monolithic, pure volume, naturally emerging and merging with the rock.

Hello Archy, what are your thoughts on Minimalism in architecture and in general?
For me minimalism is like “The Impossible Dream”. It looks beautiful but few of us can or are willing to live in empty sterile environments. We all have stuff, some we need and some that we surround ourselves with in order to feel better (books, photographs, etc). I wish to someday have the opportunity with the right client to strive for a minimalist design but I don’t see it as a real option (I do very little residential design).
If someone reading this has worked on a minimalist design I would love to hear your impressions about it!
Here are some minimalist projects aka eye candy:
Zamora Offices Alberto Campo Baeza
House In Leiria Aires Mateus
Juvet Landscape HotelJensen & Skodvin
White Cave House Takuro Yamamoto Architects
Villa Överby John Robert Nilsson Arkitektkontor
C1 House Curiosity + Milligram Studio
And no one knows who far it goes.

The site faces not only a wide street with heavy traffic but also a subway station. Hiroyuki Ito Architects thought it wasn’t appropriate to adopt a steel structure because of noisy neighborhood but adopting a reinforced concrete structure, columns and beams might become too unwieldy for objects in a small room whose area is 30 square meters or more.
But if the spaces between columns and beams could be considered as niches that would provide cozy rooms that protect the inhabitants from noise and vibrations. A six column structure instead four was adopted in order to keep the structure smaller as to create between them a suitable space for a comfortable living. The dimensions are slightly adjusted so that they could be used as benches, low tables, bed spaces, and tables.

The moment we met, my life became extraordinary. You taught me more about myself than I knew there was to learn. You are the joy in my heart. You’re the last person I want to see every night when I close my eyes. I love you, Katherine Beckett. And the mystery of you is the one I want to spend the rest of my life exploring. I promise to love you, to be your friend, and your partner in crime and life..
