We Got Work to Do for World Central Kitchen

The Supernatural Script Hunt came from humble origins, a handful of fans banding together to collect and preserve our fandom history, making as many scripts as possible accessible to fans worldwide. Since acquiring our first script over six years ago, and then branching out to involve so many fans supporting the work in the years since, it was always our intent to give it all back, and then some.

When we began this project, the fandom collectively had six scripts from five episodes and a single network outline. In the six(ish) years since we bought our first script to add to that collection, we ended the project with a total of over 180 scripts from 168 episodes, casting sides from 50+ episodes, 50+ call sheets, arenas from 18 episodes, and other related documents. During the last few years, we've still been involved with the fandom, we know it's still going strong and to honor the 20th anniversary of the airing of the pilot (September 13, 2005) we wanted to bring back this campaign from 2023 that raised $5,066.

Our fandom is global, and World Central Kitchen works tirelessly around the world to bring people comfort, nourishment, and empowerment in their time of need.

No raffle or prizes this time, this is just us wanting to give a nod to the show that brought so many of us here.

The thing about jenmish is that it doesn’t really matter if those old men are actually stupidly in love with each other or not. And I don’t mean that in a rude or dismissive way. What I mean is that the chemistry between them is insane and electric—they literally won an award for it.

It’s beyond clear that they’re very important to each other, that they’re integral parts of each others lives, and that they will continue supporting and loving each other unconditionally. But whether that’s from just a strong friendship or a hidden pining/yearning/unconfessed love isn’t super relevant. The moment you put the two of them in the same space, it’s electric.

They look at each other and sparks fly. They feed off of each other, reach for and hold each other, and entertain each other. They’re definitely soulmates of some sort, whether platonic or romantic. But it’s intoxicating to watch them together because of how they interact and how they basically seem to melt into each other. To watch the comfort they have with each other to not only openly express how much they care about each other, but to tease each other and find strength in each other is really something special. It’s really a once-in-a-lifetime connection they share and it’s so insane (in a good way) to witness and experience.
