I never painted dreams. I painted my own reality. I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best. So absurd and fleeting is our step through this world, that only leaves me at peace knowing that I have been authentic, that I have managed to be the most similar to myself.

. . . I'm writing to let you know I'm releasing you, I'm amputating you. Be happy and never seek me again. I don't want to hear from you, I don't want you to hear from me. If there is anything I'd enjoy before I die, it'd be not having to see your fucking horrible bastard face wandering around my garden.
