I wanna start watching TLOK because ATLA was so good, but it kept getting hate?

I think I figured out why! When kids watched atla, they were watching a show about kids around their age saving the world and becoming legends, kicking ass. Now those kids are watching tlok and seeing it different. They don’t see the show as something with characters to see within themselves and continue to grow with.

Just because the fiction is set in a setting different to yours doesn’t mean the characters aren’t crafted by humans. It doesn’t mean it isn’t a handcrafted story passed through people the entirety of its existence. It’s not like stories can’t pass along, gaining different hidden meetings for people to reflect on grow with.

Anyways that atla movie is coming out soon, and I think I’ll like that one more so I’m gonna watch it first.
